Good on them, he'll be able to help a lot of the new guys. This also seems like an easy way to get around explaining why Undertaker would be training at the Performance Center when/if he returns.

I'm sure he'll be a tremendous help to future WWE giant Braun Stowman (aka Adam Scherr):

Anyway, I've always wondered why they have the likes of Bill DeMott who wasn't over anywhere without a euphemism for a name (and even then...) and not known as being a particularly good wrestler, over someone who had a better career than him. The best players from any sport don't always make the best trainers, coaches or managers, in fact many of the best in those positions are guys and girls that had mediocre playing careers or in a few cases never played at all. I honestly feel the "WWE homegrown" types would've been a lot better off if someone more "successful" or at least someone with a better reputation as a worker were in charge of developmental. Can you imagine how good one of the "green football players" would be if someone like Regal got his hands on him?

That's cool, Undertaker would be an amazing coup for the performance centre.
Think back to what Cain The Undertaker was in 89. He got THAT to expand over 23 years, being over the whole time.

Far be it for me to criticise, but will do anyway, but I think up to the Amercian Badass gimmick, Taker actually went backwards. Not in terms of his in-ring work, although age and injuries were always due to take its toll, but more in terms of the character. From his debut in 1990 through to the evil 'devil beareded' Taker of the Attitude era there was a real progression in his character. Post the Biker gimmick he seemed to just be playing a homage to himself, almost a pastiche. I haven't enjoyed Undertaker's work since the excitement of seeing the Deadman gimmick return at WM20. It's like he stopped evolving and just started playing himself from the 90s

Seems I was one of the few fans of Bill Demott when he was wrestling. However, that may largely have been because he was a guy his size doing the SSP but I remember liking him in WCW and WWE. However, I haven't heard any stories about what he's like in real life. Then again I haven't heard stories about most wrestlers in real life. Before joining FAN I wasn't really exposed to backstage stuff.

I maybe wouldn't go back as far as WM20, but since 2007 he's been like "Mark Callaway as the Undertaker" for me. If that makes sense.

So I guess all the bullshit backstage traditions that were dying out will live on

Its a good gig form him at this stage; lets him stay connected to the biz, and if there is anyone the youngsters could learn a great deal from! This. No wear and tear on his body, but he's still part of the biz and can help the new generation. Oh, and I'm now a mark for Braun Stowman based off that beard and name alone.

I will say though, seems a bit harsh to send him back down to developmental after one loss at Wrestlemania!

But I don't ever recall a shooting star press from that guy, and I know I'd remember that.

If it helps Billy Kidman always mixed the two up when attempting the Shooting Star Press. #Knees2Throats trending worldwide.

He'll advise them that in Vince has a new finish a few hours before the match, don't accept it.

How has this not devolved into a joke "What will Undertaker's NXT name be" thread yet?
