Ugh. I just know I'm going to wind up giving it a chance.
If it's decent, great. I'm not going to go into it with high hopes, but go into it I shall, regardless.

Jeez, I know Terminator's a bleak franchise, but that just sounds unpleasant.

It sounds decent enough, but it looks terrible. Entertainment Weekly can do some hilariously bad covers--like the infamous Twilight cover... This may be worse, though.

IMO the story ends with 2 anyway

/Don't care, cause anyway, to me no Arnold = no Terminator.. Wait are you referring to this movie because Arnold is totally in it. All I'll say is that there's some stuff in this movie that as a Terminator nut, I'm very much looking forward to. And the other stuff, I'll try and keep an open mind for now because this film is basically chapter one.

So are we getting an explanation for the Genisys thing beyond "Poor literacy is kewl" or what?

Why the hell would you make an 'old' Terminator?

If it wasn't for the fact that Matt Smith is in this and I want to see how he fares in a franchise that isn't Doctor Who I would've washed my hands off whatever...this plot is.
I know time travel isn't exactly meant to make sense but this plot really doesn't. If Sarah Connor was raised by a Schwarzenegger Terminator from the age of 9, then surely that means she would recognise him in the first movie when he goes after her in the club?

*insert Game of Thrones joke here. Acceptable options include "WHERE IS MY ROBOT* or something about "Khal Roboto"* Sarah Connor, mother of Terminators. It sounds decent enough, but it looks terrible. Entertainment Weekly can do some hilariously bad covers--like the infamous Twilight cover... This may be worse, though. Speaking of which, considering how reboot crazy Hollywood is, how long before Harry Potter and Twilight gets rebooted? Hollywood is currently working their way through the late 80's and 90's franchises.

I'm fairly certain that all there is of value related to Terminator right now are the first two movies and a hundred years from now all there will be of value related to Terminator are the first two movies. False. The Sarah Connor Chronicles was an awesome show. Correct! Sarah Connor Chronicles was much much better than anyone thought it ever would be. It honestly made me like Brian Austin Green's work on that show. And lemme tell you, when I heard Green was going to be on that show I was like, "Aw f*** this show - done. I'm out. The 90210 douchebag? he's gonna ruin it!" And I ate my words each and every episode he was on because that guy BROUGHT IT every second he was on screen. Everythign he's done since has sucked big time, but he crushed it on that show. That is the magic of Sarah Connor Chronicles. Plus Lena Headey and Summer Glau on the same show at the same time?!?! How can you not love it?

At the risk of being burned alive by dragons, I don't think Emilia Clarke is a good actress.

In my eyes the first two movies and The Sarah Conner Chronicles are canon. T3 was kinda fun but I don't view it is as a true sequel to T2. I have yet to watch Salvation though I plan to at some point. Sarah Conner Chronicles was a fantastic show that was cancelled way too soon. I'll probably get the new one when it comes out on BluRay but I'm not exactly enamoured with the plot.

So are we getting an explanation for the Genisys thing beyond "Poor literacy is kewl" or what? Yes, Genisys is something within the movie. maybe they should just stick to ripping off Harlan Ellison. Cameron has always claimed he didn't and he some pretty strong words for Mr. Ellison. Why the hell would you make an 'old' Terminator? Because Arnold Schwarzenegger is old. No, because Sarah wasn't raised by the Guardian in that timeline. I'll probably get the one when it comes out on BluRay but I'm not exactly enamoured with the plot. SCC had it's fair show of problems, like Connor falling in love with a cyborg.

So, Sarah is now in the John role, so John doesn't exist anymore, and she's younger and now there's a older Terminator who watches her, and it's the original one from the first one that hunted her when she was an adult, and there's another terminator and a bike and....
