Who takes over as the new "Biggest WCW name to never have set foot in a WWE ring"? I'm thinking Alex Wright. Is "Who's the biggest WCW name who's never set foot in WWE now?" a thread yet? If not you absolutely should go for it man. Maybe a thread collecting names then if it's not pretty clear add a poll to it.

Have been really apathetic towards wrestling in the last 6 months or so, only occasionally catching shows here or there rather than watching every week as I have for ages. The Lesnar/Cena SummerSlam match was amazing to me because it was so different, but I quickly fell back into not being too invested once the fallout occurred. This gave me a similar feeling of giddiness and excitement, but with that extra added bit of total fanboy glee added in.
As someone who got into wrestling largely because of Sting in 96, got into TNA because I heard Sting was going there in 05, and have 80s NWA Sting near the top of my list of all time favorites thanks to going back and watching every NWA event/match I could get my hands on over the last decade or so... this was awesome. If nothing else, it has me excited again, and that feels really good after not caring for a while.
Also, +1 for his music. Really like it. Not as much as his original crow theme, but I still think it's great.

I'm only disappointed that Sting didn't take off that Sting mask to reveal that he was Sting.

Perfect debut, such a great way to do it, EPIC! Can't wait to see who Sting faces at WrestleMania.

I felt it was lackluster. Where was the showmanship?
1. The arena lights should of went completely dark. 2. They should of skipped the titantron video that spoiled who it was going to be before he even stepped out. 3. Where was his ball bat? 4. REALLY should of used his theme from WCW.

Only thing that bugged me, is that Rollins really should've gotten up and atleast taken a Stinger Splasjh, or the Death Drop or something. Dude had to sell being out from that ZigZag for like 5+ minutes

Well, that's it. For wrestling fans my age that grew up in the early '90s, this is quite possibly the last "Hell Has Frozen Over" moment of this magnitude we will ever see again. Everything else but this has already took place. This is something I've been hoping for since the end of WCW. What a moment. I just turned 33 and this makes me feel like a kid again. The streak ended, Bryan main-evented WrestleMania, Lesnar won the WWE title by squashing Cena, and Sting showed up on WWE programming. This year has been f***ing wild at times. Also in 2014 both Triple H and Stephanie would have done the best work of their careers. Yes, even better than their work in 2000. I feel like an asshole for not being as excited about this. It was a good moment, major historic implications with his showing up tonight. I hope that the plan is Triple H vs. Sting at Wrestlemania, he really let TNA expose him in a really big way and I don't have a lot of confidence in him really performing at a level worthy of his hype. But people probably felt the same way about Flair post WCW and he turned it around so we'll see. I thought that when he'd show I'd snap out of it and just be thrilled to see him but, nah, not really. It's going to be for Mania though, and Sting is going to get into the best shape he possibly can. He'll bust his ass to be in great shape. He'll also be going against Trips, who like I said has been doing his best work in his career. Both guys are going to bust their asses to make sure this match is the spectacle it should be.

The only thing that ruined was the comms.
Michael Cole: "It's Sting!" Shut up!
JBL: "Six time WCW champion!" Shut up!
JR wouldn't have said a word.

JR did talk during the Hogan Rock confrontation on Raw. Was he talking during their stare off at WM? Checking the Network... ...yes. He even called it a WrestleMania Moment TM, and I know some don't like them being tagged as such while they're happening.

My only issue with Sting's debut is that (I thought) it overshadowed Ziggler's amazing showing. Seems that just about everyone and their mother is still pumped about how awesome Ziggler looked, so...
Woo! Sting!

JR did talk during the Hogan Rock confrontation on Raw. Was he talking during their stare off at WM? I was referring to their confrontation on Raw. Both he and King were talking over the entire thing. They didn't let the moment speak for itself. If Vince is yelling in the announcers ears to talk, they're going to talk.

Might actually record Raw tonight..
Will be the first Raw I've watched since after Wrestlemania.
Still think he should have been a suprise Rumble entry personally.

Call me in the minority, but I wish he would have never debuted in WWE. To me, he being so successful without ever being in WWE was a big part of his legacy.
That stare down took way too long. His debut just didn't do it for me.
Triple H vs. Sting ought to be a good match, though. So at least there's that.

So, looks like Sting vs Triple H for Wrestlemania. Its no Sting vs Undertaker, but its still an epic match up in its own right. But what was wrong with Sting's WCW theme music? Why not use that?

The thing that sold it for me - he only seemed to blink about twice the whole time he was out there. He stared a death hole through HHH. Great character work.

I loved how triple H was confused as to what the hell was going on but then that confusion gave way to anger. Some excellent acting from triple H there.

Wanted to add, am I the only one who thinks it would have been even cooler if, instead of walking down the aisle, the lights had gone down and then come back up to just reveal him standing in the ring?
