Kirsten Dunst in Interview With The Vampire (though I find the overall film overrated IMO).
Jodie Foster in Taxi Driver, she also is clearly the best performer in Bugsy Malone.

I think it's one of the Oscar's biggest flubs of the decade that Hailee Steinfold was nominated for best SUPPORTING actress in True Grit, when in reality without her, there is no movie. Her work in that film is absolutely stellar.

I also have to mention the three main kids from the Harry Potter films. As the films went on, they consistently improved and whilst I wouldn't say any of them are on the same level, they didn't look out of place amongst the likes of Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, Gary Oldman and Ralph Fiennes. Oh and the girl who played Luna was fantastic.

Good catch. I was trying to avoid citing examples of young actors who were around 17 to 19. I didn't realize he was that old in that movie.

In fairness to you he did look about 14 in that movie and even now he still looks way younger then he actually is.
