In fact, the entire Buu Saga deserves more love. Silly shit like this is awesome and I prefer it way more than the seriousness of the Cell/Frieza sagas. F*** EM ALL, BUU IS BEST VILLIAN. The contrast of his over the top silliness to everything around him was awesome; Vegeta getting so pissed with a fat pink blob to the point of suicide bombing him is so weirdly cool when you consider how vastly different Vegeta's presence and character is from fat Buu. And then they went and killed a puppy and turned Buu into a boring Cell wannabe AND then turned THAT buu into a boring psychotic mute.

I actually quite liked the Buu Saga, I just wish they hadn't marginalized Gohan at the end and fallen back to "Goku'll fix it".

Being silly wasn't it's problem. It got boring as hell.

I'm with the people who liked the Majin Buu story. Something different, lighthearted, didn't take itself too seriously.

Watched most of the saga in its original Japanese, so I have stand out moments like:
-Buu pondering food ("Okane, aisu...." or "Money, Ice cream") -Buu just not caring (creepiest "Bye-bye.... bye-bye... bye-bye" I've ever heard)
-GREAT SAIYAMAN~!!!!!!
And Fusions. Just Fusions. Gotenks and Bejitto were awesome.

Being silly wasn't it's problem. It got boring as hell. Could that not be applied to the show's entire run? I feel like this would've been one of the greatest shows ever made if they cut 10 minutes of nothing out of every episode.

I feel like this would've been one of the greatest shows ever made if they cut 10 minutes of nothing out of every episode. You'd probably like Dragonball Z Kai, then. They basically did that, removing a lot of filler. Unfortunately, the theme song is terrible, and it also got rid of FUN filler, so it's not perfect, but it does streamline things.

I actually liked the Buu saga myself too. Majin Vegeta was all kinds of epic awesomeness, as was his fight with Goku, and him sacrificing himself to destroy Buu was very emotional in my opinion. I think they should've had Vegeta's sacrifice be the thing that stopped Buu.

I enjoyed the Majin Buu saga because of some of the awesome characters it introduced, like the devil guy who wore the electric blue attire, the Grandmaster Kai dude who was like the ultimate Kai, and wizard Babidi, and the increased focus on the antics of Hercule because "HERCULE RULES!"

I enjoy the saga (not as much as the others) but more so I appreciate that it provided some of the most memorable moments in show history. Most of them involving Vegeta.

My lord, when Gohan came back and fought Buu I had chills going down my spine. "So, big shot, you wanna fight Majin Buu?" "Fight you? No... I'm gonna kill you." Most badass line ever uttered in the series. (Impressive, considering the series had the king of badass lines, Vegeta.) Also, Buu is cool, but Team Freeza FTFW.

I don't hate the Buu Saga as it has Majin Vegeta.
But man is it the weakest of all the sagas and people talk about The Cell saga pushing the minor characters to the very back...but the Buu Saga was FAR worse with everyone and their mama becoming a super saiyan or finding new levels of super saiyan or different fusions.
The Buu saga was the definition of "if you aint a saiyan get the hell off the grass".

I mean yes, Goku was the one that pretty much saved the day in the end when everything was said and done, but despite that, the other characters each had their roles and actually contributed as best they could to it. That and the powers weren't TOO crazy yet.

Ayup, Dragonball was like 10,000 times better than DBZ, but DBZ had its moments... mainly when they weren't standing around taunting each other for 20 minutes or taking 3 episodes to transform into their OMGTHEPOWERRRRR form.

By the time the Majin Buu saga started on Toonami, I was already tapering off of DBZ. Eventually I'm gonna go back and watch it.
