Lanny is fine with Hogan being the inductor, though he personally would have liked for multiple people to speak about Randy, including Steamboat and Sheamus who says Randy inspired him to become a wrestler. Lanny says he wants to speak, so I imagine that Lanny will be part of the acceptance of the Hall of Fame induction, perhaps with Randy's widow, though Lanny didn't specifically mention this. Well, the WWE does have a reputation for incredible video packages, so I'm certain many people will be involved in the induction that way, at least. And I'd be surprised if his widow does get involved with this event. Lanny (and even Randy) commented in the past that she was the part of his life that was completely outside of wrestling (he knew her when they were kids, and they reconnected and got married after his career was over), and that because of this it was an element of his life that he was very content with. Although personally, I'd like to see it happen because it'd finally silence those folks who insist on seeing Randy and Elizabeth as a couple in the Hall of Fame and in the great beyond - nope, kids, they split up decades ago, and THIS is the lady who Randy's with in the end...I agree, it would be a nice touch to see his widow at his induction

If Savage is going in Elizabeth HAS to go in too. Maybe next year. WWE has a strict one corpse per year rule.

I request for old time's sake, and to honor an old friend, Lanny asks Curtis Axel to come up and stand next to him.

I know the rumors are crap and all but for some reason I get a chuckle at this:
Yup, I'm bound to get some comeuppance coming to me in the future for this travesty.

I wonder who the 2nd name will be Monday. I don't think it will be Batista,Taker,Sting etc this year since they will headline their own class in the future.

I really hope they introduce the Jimmy Miranda Award this year. First recipient, Kevin Dunn! In all seriousness, as much we bag the shit out of him for his alleged attitude and having his say where it's not warranted, he's actually really good at the job he's supposed to do. I wouldn't be against him going in the Hall Of Fame under this category.

Jim Johnson for the Jimmy Miranda award this year.
As for who may be inducted this year, I'm kind of hoping Rock gets in this year. For a tag team, would not object to finally getting Demolition in. Beyond that, wait and see. Truth be told, next year in Dallas already interests me far more aside from Savage.

Does the Rumble make DDP more or less likely?

Does the Rumble make DDP more or less likely? I think he was close with Savage so it wouldn't shock me. I'm kind of expecting a couple of locals and people close to Randy. Also, for those talking about the Jimmy Miranda Award, if it happens, should the first winner be, Jimmy Miranda. Kinda start it with the guy it is named after and let people know who that is?

Dark Horse canidate: Larry Zbyskzo. He is on good terms with the WWE, and they can just talk about how important Bruno vs Larry was to sell his induction (heck, it could be an excuse to put Showdown at Shea on the Network).

This is purely a star-power move. There are celebrities who did more significant things with WWE, but they don't have Arnold Schwarzenegger's level of celebrity. He's been a household name for decades and was one of the biggest box office stars of all time and then became California's Governor. I'm a big fan of some of his action/sci-fi movies from the '80s and '90s, but he wasn't someone I wanted to see inducted into the Celebrity Wing.
