Might be some backlash, but it think they deserve it. Lot of happy memories watching those head lickers as a kid.

I don't see why it matters as to who goes in when. Timing doesn't make a difference as long as the deserving go in at some point. You quoted the Freebirds bit from my last comment, read the previous paragraph for why it definitely matters. I did before I quoted it. The point still stands. They're not dead or incapable of attending now and likely won't be next year. They were also only in the WWE for a brief second (obviously Michael Hayes has been there a lot longer) and its the WWE HoF, not a general Pro Wrestling HOF. I'd argue the Hardy Boyz or Dudleys have more of a claim to the WWE HOF than the Freebirds (yet I realize that the Freebirds are wholly more important). They'll be in and complaining about it now before the huge Texas event next year is a bit silly. Only 3 people have any real say as to who actually gets in.

So the comedy jobber tag team is going to the hall? We have a new low bar. If you ignore there extreme overness and any work they have done outside of wwe But hey who needs history

Even if you include their work as the Kiwis and the Sheepherders, there are many more deserving teams from the 1980s and early 1990s who have not been inducted. I don't really get worked up over the WWE Hall of Fame, so good for Luke and Butch.

There are about 20 tag teams I'd put in before The Bushwhackers, but whatever.

I wonder if they put any focus on their pre-WWE career given how violent and bloody they were.

TIL That The Bushwackers had a match rated 5 Stars by WON. Funny story... Nine of the ten wrestlers involved in the four -5 star matches there's been rated by the Observer are in the WWE Hall Of Fame.

www.gerweck.net/2015/02/23/spoiler-wwe-planning-upcoming-2015-hall-of-fame-announcement-for-japan/{Spoiler}- WWE is scheduled to make an announcement in Japan soon for the 2015 Hall of Fame as Tatsumi Fujinami is expected to be inducted this year during WrestleMania 31 weekend.
“The Dragon” is a former WWE International Heavyweight Champion and a former WWWF Junior Heavyweight Champion. Fujinami, who is still an active competitor in Japan, is most remembered in the United States for his NWA World Title defense against Ric Flair at WCW SuperBrawl I in 1991.

Do you folks understand how over the Bushwackers were? They were outpopping people in 1996 when they were complete part-timers. People will make comparisons to Koko, but they're more on the Hacksaw part of the spectrum - gimmicks, yes, but deserving to be in because they were just that damn popular. This would be an induction that will just make people happy. My one hope is that when they make their entrance at the HoF, that everyone in the building is doing the Bushwacker walk.
