Let's put it this way...he's the reason Tommy Dreamer WASN'T offered an agent's position in The E...and they LIKED Dreamer.

(Fill me in on this story, I'm unfamiliar with it) Somehow, (I believe it was one of ECW's final shows) Anderson had pestered Dreamer enough that Dreamer took a VHS tape from Anderson hoping for a tryout. Anderson was hoping to get on with ECW not knowing they were going to be bought out. During the buyout, Dreamer gives the tape to HHH, telling him to watch it. The rest is history.

The same Tommy Dreamer they brought on as a performer months later? I don't follow the story here.

I don't THINK his contract was actually up, I think they're just announcing the guys who are staying in the move to Destination America because they're announcing a bunch of them as having "re-signed" at once. There's been at least half a dozen in the last couple of days, with more to come after the weekend.

The one thing that made me lol hard from that funeral for Aces and Eights was Samoa Joe saying "may you ride your mopeds to the shores of Valhalla."

I used to like the guy, but I don't think he'd have much of a chance in current WWE of making any real impact if brought back. He had his shot, it didn't work out, and I don't see him getting another one.

All I remember is I watched him maybe 3-4 years ago when Disco Inferno had a cameo on TNA and I was thorougly unimpresses by this guy. I felt like he didn't even belong in the ring with a WCW midcarder.

WWE already has Randy Orton. Two douchebags can't occupy the same space at the same time. It's against the laws of physics.

Let's see......
A) Several of the WWE's current top talents have no interest in working with him. B) He is close to the Hardy's, particularly Matt (I believe Matt was in his wedding). C) He has a history of being injury prone. D) He is not that young anymore. E) The brand split is done, which means that the WWE is less starved for established names to use as mid to upper midcard talents.
Yeah, it does not look good for you if you are Ken Anderson and you want to come back to the WWE.

I really enjoyed his heel work in 2006-2007, but after his injuries and his terrible face turn, I quickly lost all interest.

His rivalry with Taker was pretty good but just nothing but suck afterwards.

The same Tommy Dreamer they signed as a performer shortly after ECW folded? The same Ken Anderson who they started regularly using as a jobber during the same time period, before offering a development deal to? Doesn't add up to me.

Top talents don't like working with him, he embarrassed the company by going on TV and saying he was clean then failing a pee test, turning a major angle into a joke in the process, and finally he left them no choice but to fire Bob Holly, a guy who was supposedly close to Vince. While he was in the right on that, it's still something unlikely to go down well in the highschool-like environment of the WWE.
I doubt we'll see the WWE re-signing any veteran midcard talent from this point on, unless it's for a road agent/trainer position or a legends contract. Experienced talent are more expensive than guys from NXT and the WWE are pinching pennies left and right because the Network is the moneypit everyone thought it would be.

I also wish TNA hadn't signed him.
His schtick got old within the first ten minutes I saw him in WWE, I never found him threatening or believable as a wrestler, he was/is unsafe and the coffin match against Bully Ray in Manchester was the worst match I ever saw that I believe I was meant to take seriously
Just no....
