I remember he was so f***ing OVER here back in 2005/2006 with that whole "KENNEDY... KENNEDY" thing... Looking back, it's kind of like that weird thing you were into as a teen, and it's like "I liked THAT? Wow, what was I on?". (Looking back through the archives to try and find examples of Kennedy fandom... instead I find THIS. Imagine if THAT happened. There'd be no Internet left)

Kennedy knows that WWE doesn't want him back. He took a contract renewal with TNA for less money than before because of that. His whole TNA run proves WWE didn't miss out on not having him on the roster. He comes in TNA with a strong wave of hype as a heel feuding with Kurt. So what happens next? He turns face for no good reason other than Bischoff liked him. Then he proceeds to shit the bed with his annoying face shtick. So he turns heel because f*** you that's why. After nearly getting killed by a chairshot by a cracked out Jeff Hardy, he returns as a Stone Cold wannabe. Does that for a while before getting put out by A&8 in an injury angle. For some reason, joins the very same people who put him on the shelf. Starts to build some momentum as a reluctant face before getting the boot from TNA because they didn't renew his contract. Eventually came back for less pay and resume his feud with Bully Ray. Lost that momentum and becomes annoying family man. Somehow is less sympathetic than a dickporting Ray who threaten to kill his kids and rape his wife. Created a triad of suck with Samuel Shaw and f***ing Gunner. After that terrible angle, he's involved with TNA's one legged charity case.

The guy's character work was excellent, he really was firing on all cylinders, then he got thrown into a feud with Anderson. After that, he never regained the momentum, hell after he came back from the "psych ward", Anderson was even less sympathetic than Shaw by far.

TNA didn't help Shaw because he was made a one note character and they flipped around things they established beforehand. Like he suppose to live with his mom but he was shown wooing Hemme in his loft. Anderson hamfisted the angle by being all jokey and neutering Shaw in the ring. Barely can call it a feud when it was so one sided. And the initial ending was trash. Hemme dick teased the confused bastard and Anderson preyed upon that.

He was entertaining enough, wasn't he? He had a good look, strong mic-skills. I never witnessed his backstage attitude so I can't speak for that. When he was on the SD brand I thought he'd be one to watch.

When he was on the SD brand I thought he'd be one to watch. Kennedy/Anderson's one and only brief shining moment of being entertaining was as an afterthought in a Johnny Jeter/Matt Cappotelli segment in OVW, which involves him running away and jumping into a car while screaming "RETREAT! RETREAAAT!" is if he was Cobra Commander, then doing his "MISTERRRRRR KENNEDYYYYYYYYY!" schtick as the car drives off, making the car drive back up so he can do the ".....KEN-NEH-DEHHHHH".

Well, guessing by the poll results, and they are over-whelming, now it makes sense why Daniel Bryan was rocking the New Mr. Kennedy shirt:

I actually like Ken, but he would not only not fit in with the increased focus on ringwork, no one with any pull backstage cares for him. He could be a great stable leader in ROH, where he'd have more heat than Satan in a heat wave managed by Vickie Guerrero.

The real question is, aside form TNA who's resorted to the scraps at the bottom of the barrel, who the hell would want him?

Mr. Kennedy is a dangerous worker, Randy Orton will tell you that.
