i started wondering this morning, what if in rumble match, a person who nobody likes wins, and crowd starts throwing trash in ring. How would Wwe react? it's main event and the ppv would end soon, so i don't really see them throwing people out of arena, and if they even have enough staff.
i kinda think it would be hilarious, that a wrestler wwe would be pushing as face, but people don't like would win, and gets showered with trash, while announcer would hype the victory.

It happened quite a few times in WCW, the ring was pretty much a landfill after Hogan's heel turn in 96, and I seem to remember there being litter thrown when a face Goldberg beat Hogan for the title.
The only time I ever remember it happening in WWE was Trips retaining the title at WM2000

The prohibition against throwing items into the ring always existed, but for safety reasons became a zero-tolerance policy in WWE after the Droz incident, if memory serves. It had been tolerated previously, as many old WWF videos will demonstrate, but all house shows I remember from 1987-90 or so opened with a warning against doing it. It had dropped off almost completely in the 1990s, but the nWo angle in WCW had brought about a revival in the practice.

It happened in WWE's ECW once when Paul Heyman turned on RVD, I believe.

If Bryan gets eliminated from the Rumble they might have to eject half the arena.

Honestly this is the one time I could see a crowd start throwing things in the ring in disgust. If Bryan doesn't win the Rumble it could be the final straw for some. I don't know how objects weren't thrown last year...

When Triple H, Vince, and Austin aligned at the Raw after Wrestlemania 17, the ring got showered with cans, some of which hit the ref and the heels. It was at the end of the show, so even if expelling people from the building was viable with this many, it'd do little good.

I absolutely LOVED it in WCW. I even think it was encouraged to create a visible "riot"-feel. I miss NITRO so much! It was so much more fun than this boring lame-ass WWE we have now. I totally expect WWE security to remove people if they rage over Bryan not winning the Rumble. It won't happen, though. Bryan won't win the Rumble (Test...ehh Roman Reigns will), but there is no chaos in modern days WWE, only boredom and regulations.

Regulations don't stop people from throwing crap in the ring if they're mad. Toss a cup towards the ring it doesn't return with a note pinned onto it saying "Returned due to regulations". If people are genuinely made they'll throw. It's always probably been against building regulations to throw stuff at any type of event but people always have.

Crowd just goes full Warzone. Throwing TVs into the ring. If the gameplay wasn't that crappy I'd play that now just for nostalgia reasons. I retrospect a PS1 wasn't the best choice for playing wrestling games.

It happened quite a few times in WCW, That's an understatement. From mid-1996 through most of 1997, trash was a staple of WCW events. I remember one time, when the NWO did their token run-in at the end of Nitro, trash was thrown in immediately like clockwork. It got to the point I started thinking trash was being thrown by plants or something.
