It is a new start for that little company out of Nashville. They have a "live" debut on Jan. 7 (best you could do for my birthday TNA?) and then take 9 days off before moving to their new time of 9/8p Fridays. There will be a lot of changes starting with no more Mike Tenay! Mike is taking over work on the Impact: Unleashed, Unlocked, Unwhatevered. Joining our Pumpkin of Pontification at the announce desk will be former WWE commentator Josh Mathews. That is not all as everything from more reality elements to new graphic packages to new talent has been rumored for this occasion.
We have two things announced for this historic occasion already.
Kurt Angle has a major announcement for us all. Last seen getting into it with Bobby Lashley, one has to wonder if our Executive Director of Wrestling Operations has designs of wrestling or flying off tall shit once again as Lockdown is already on the horizon.
For the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, The Leader of the Self...sorry, the It Factor of Professional Wrestling Bobby Roode face the former champion Bobby Lashley. What role if any will Kenny King and MVP play in this? Are they still employed? Who knows!
Hungry Like the Wolves?: When we last left TNA James Storm's Revolution has shocked the world by remembering the Feast or Fired Briefcase given to Storm by the "Innovator of Intense" f***ing Gunner and along with Abyss, using it on a fallen Wolves team to capture the TNA World Tag Team Championship. All four men have re-signed with TNA and you know Davey is itching to kick Abyss in the shins but the Wolves cannot look too far ahead as they will face the Hardys in two weeks time.
Taryn Up My Heart: The TNA Knockouts' Title found a new home with Taryn Terrell. Former champion Havok has made it known she is going nowhere and is out to reclaim her title. Who else could be on the horizon though? Terrell had an amazing series of matches with Gail Kim but her status is unknown believed gone. Madison Rayne has signed up for another tour of duty and would love to become Queen Bee once again.
X Gon' Give It To Ya: For most of TNA's Xistence it was defined by the X Division and as we drew to a close on Spike, X Division Legend Samoa Joe had to forfeit the title because of "injury" and while he swore he'd return and reclaim his title, little has been heard from the Samoan Submission Machine since. Low Ki was crownded the new X Champ by defeating Tigre Uno, Manik and DJ-Z in a Fatal Four Way. Who is left in the division and what does the future hold?
Vol. 3....The Life and Times of E. Carter: The greatest friendship known to man fell apart toward the end of the Spike run and ECIII made it known he wanted nothing to do with Spud. To further drive that home, he brought in Tyrus to destroy the little guy but former World Champion Eric Young had other ideas. EY instilled confidence to the little one and they fought back and went on the "I'm With Spud" campaign. To be honest I didn't watch so I have no clue what happened.
All that I could remember and more is ahead of us and TNA in 2015 on Destination America. To find if you have Destination America click here!
