FSU officials, namely head coach Jimbo Fisher, did not see the video of freshman QB De'Andre Johnson hitting a woman until the Tallahassee Democrat released it Monday.

Michale Irvin Jr commits to the U. Ok, now before anyone gets all excited, please recall that most legacy players don't fair as well as their forbarers.

Ohio State QBs J.T. Barrett, Cardale Jones and Braxton Miller all made the Maxwell Award preseason watch list. Basically that just means that it doesn't matter who the Ohio State f***heads put under center this year. Whoever it is is going to put up stupid numbers until Urban gets busted and has another "heart attack"

Penn State junior QB Christian Hackenberg is "still coveted as the possible No. 1 overall pick in the draft, despite last season's frustrations," writes Sports on Earth's Matt Brown.

They will do the same with Bama and let USC win their first three games and it will be hot story. All that was old is new again

I'm still in shock that Florida State actually punished someone. I think we all may need a collective moment to digest that. STOP THE PRESSES!!! *someone stops the printer press, causing it to crash* Okay, start them back up! Ops: "That takes 4 hours!!!" Whatever, I'm going to Moe's.

I listen to a great deal of CFB radio shows, read a lot of stories, watch lots of CFB related shows. Some things I've noticed this off season:
85-90% of the world thinks the Big XII should add two teams The remaining 10-15% are administrators, ADs and representatives from Olympic sports at Big XII members schools Nobody thinks Oklahma is going to win more than 8 games. Except me. Big year for OU Everybody thinks Baylor and TCU are going to do exactly what they did last year. They are wrong. One of those teams will disappoint and I'm thinking its Baylor Lots of people think the SEC SEC SEC is done. Nope. ESPN makes tens of millions off of that name. They aren't going anywhere "Experts" think Ohio State is going to roll thru to the playoff again no problem. I disagree. I don't even think they will be in the Rose Bowl The foolishness of Ohio State QBs not to seek life elsewhere. Guys! ONE person can start at QB. ONE Lots of "experts" think Michigain will be a partial dumpster fire this year and it will take Harbaugh three years to get me winning. Bunk! Bunk I say! The wolverines will win eight or nine games and maybe one against that team in Columbus Nobody we have ever heard of will win the Hiesman trophy Dak Prescott will let people down Oregon is not rebuilding. They didn't lose much

One of those teams will disappoint and I'm thinking its Baylor I think OU finishes second in the Big XII, but it's TCU winning it and making the playoff. Baylor will disappoint I agree with you on that. I don't agree with you on Ohio State, I think they get back to the playoff. Speaking of that conference, my way too early pick is that we'll get our first 2 teams from same conference controversy this season. I think Sparty will finish with 1 loss, and be left out of the playoff, the controversy will be because their one loss will be to Ohio State. I think they beat Oregon, it's in East Lansing. Arizona will at least be a serious contender for the playoff.

They didn't lose much Thing is for the 12 is that pickings are slim. You want somebody that will make the pie bigger rather than just makes your slice of the current pie smaller. They really should have grabbed L'ville when they had the chance. BYU won't play on Sundays. Central Florida has potential but they'd be on an island like WV is. They don't need any more Texas teams. Houston would be the best option and they aren't a good one. Boise adds a football name but would be another island team and they add squat for footprint. OU is still OU, they are in a rut and won't take the con but they'll get their share of wins. Baylor will be what they've been. They put up a lot of points and give-up almost as many. I don't think their national championship contenders again but they'll have a solid season. TCU will take the 12 Ohio State is probably the best team in the country again. They rolled through the playoffs with their 3rd-string qb for piss-sakes. Speaking of qb's I do agree on that, only one guy gets to start. Miller really should have bolted since he graduated and doesn't lose a year. Harbaugh is a great coach that will have the Wolverines competing right out of the gate. Ya the Heisman race is wide-open. If I have to pick I'd say Nick Chubb. Dak Prescott had a lot of experience around him in '14. Miss State will be back to the usual this season. Now that Mariota is gone I think we'll get a stronger sense of what Helfrich and Frost bring to the table. Should be interesting.

The state attorney's office in Tallahassee will issue a warrant for the arrest of Florida State running back Dalvin Cook, who is accused of punching a 21-year-old woman in the face several times during an argument outside a bar last month.
State attorney Willie Meggs told ESPN.com on Friday that he met with the woman, who is not an FSU student, and a female witness on Friday. The woman presented Meggs photos of her injuries.
Meggs said Cook, a 19-year-old sophomore from Miami, will be charged with misdemeanor battery.
"I found the women to be very credible," Meggs said.

Honestly, I never quite got the "BYU won't play on Sunday's" statment.
I mean, yeah, they won't... so they don't? Saturday is college football day, very few games are played on Sunday in a given week. The Big 12 Championship Game is historically a Saturday, the playoff games are on Saturdays, no Bowl game in 15-16 is on a Sunday, and the title game is on a Monday. BYU played in the NCAA tournament a few years ago, so it's not like they aren't willing to participate.
