Now there is another set of questions to answer. Apparently, after all 12 of the Patriots balls were found to be underinflated (with the 11 mentioned being more than 2 psi under while the 12th not as underinflated as the rest), those 12 balls were all taken out of rotation and the Patriots were told they had to use their 12 alternate balls. We know that the 12 alternate balls were not tested before the game, but were they tested at halftime before they were used? Were they tested at the end of the game? It was kind of odd that the first alternate ball they brought out after halftime was taken out of rotation as well, so was it not kosher either? I thought I read they all backup balls were tested and shown to be legal

I just want to volunteer myself to be Tom Brady's backup balls.

Okay, since apparently deflated footballs provide easier grips, catches, and throws. Can we investigate the pass where David Tyree caught the ball against his damn helmet and was the catch that ended The Patriots undefeated Super Bowl streak?! Just saying.

"I had no knowledge of this situation until Monday Morning"- Bill Belichick
That right there is grounds alone to strip their first round pick this year. And Bill should be suspended, but he wont be most likely. All this press conference is is denial after denial and Bullshit after Bullshit.
Its a shame such a great season by the team will forever be questioned because of the Patriots being a bunch of idiots at the end of it, again.
And after that, when the people there actually have a question all it is, is a broken record of "I told you everything I know"
I don't care how good of a coach he is, he's an asshole, and no Patriot Fan can tell me otherwise.

I think it was Schefter who said on ESPN that the belief is that Belichick actually *didn't* know and the NFL is having trouble finding evidence he did in this case. Edit: he is an ass. Always has been. But I can also bet that 2/3rds of the league would take him as their HC

I don't see how he couldn't have known about this, I don't see how he'd outright say it either but it just seems weird that he wouldn't know. If they can't prove it they can't prove it but hell if I'll believe he's an innocent party in this with his track record.

Here's a quote from someone posted a comment on Facebook. People need to let this go and stop acting like immature crybabies because the Colts got outplayed.
"Normally when someone "cheats" it is to accomplish something deceptively. Since Brady's passing game was much worse in the first half with the "deflated" balls than it was after they were corrected for the second half, How does that specify "cheating"? A more sensible explanation would be someone was trying to make him play worse."

I'm not saying that this isn't true, just that I had not read it anywhere other than comment sections by obvious Patriots fans, so I will wait to see it said from some credible source before I accept it as fact.

First, Rodgers statement was very clear that he overinflates the balls before inspection. How can he get mad at the refs for letting air out if he overinflated them AFTER inspection? In other words, his balls wind up passing inspection at the upper end of the limit and he has never been caught using a non-regulation ball. Second, Johnson later said something to the effect that the ballboy did not do as he asked, though I don't know how much I believe that. Still, we are talking about a game that happened a decade ago. All of the players and coaches that could have possibly been involved are now no longer with the team. Outside of Raiders fans who have to be saying to themselves, "First the Tuck Rule, and now that happened too??!!", is anyone going to be clamoring to sanction anyone for something that they were not caught doing a decade ago? Third, it seems likely this is probably an long-running thing that primarily involved Brady and the equipment managers. Unlike Rodgers, Brady actually was caught with his hands in the cookie jar, so he does not have the deniability Rodgers has. He was caught during the course of the game, which separates him from Johnson who was never caught and only suggested a decade later that he did something.

Despite the situation, I have to think Rob Ninkovich (Pats DE) had the best response to the Media when asked about the situation
"I'm a Defensive End, I go after the Quarterback, I have never cared about the weight of a ball in my life"
Can't say he's wrong there. But hey you know the Media, anyone who has a Pats Jersey on they're going to grill.

And as a defensive end, if he handled the football, it would be the other team's. I seriously doubt he would've known anything.
I'm listening to Francesa interview the new Jets' GM and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. Between him and Bowles, the Jets might just become a classy, respectable organization again.

You do realize that it's already been said more than a dozen times that this has nothing to do with the Colts losing, right? The Patriots cheated. It doesn't matter what the outcome is. They got caught doing it. Do you understand these things?

Yeah, a lot of it depends on Woody Johnson controlling his ego and letting his good football guys run the team as they see fit without interfering.
Unfortunately for the Jets, I can't see that happening.
