I don't know how more people can't enjoy this. "Oh I'm just gonna hit this corner going around 100 MPH. No biggie." The best(or scariest) is when he's shrieking down the main straight in 6th going somewhere in the high 180s or low 190s and then quickly breaking and shifting simultaneously down to 2nd or 3rd on the first turn. I would be crapping my pants doing that but if you look at Josef's hands, it's all smooth and calculated. Race car drivers are insane. But it's a lot of fun. This is inside Dad's car during a time trial last year. This is on board with me during the last race of the year back in September. My car is about 1.4 seconds slower than Dad's, but there's a lot of work inside the car during a run.

www.racer.com/indycar/item/113517-indycar-chevrolet-debuts-2015-aero-package#!Chevrolet_Aero_Kit_Component_Identification_ Chevy just dropped the first hammer re: Indycar Aero Kits, with the unveiling of their road course/short oval kit. I like it, it's different and reminds me a lot of 2008-era F1, but I feel like those x-wing type bits are going to last about ten seconds on a street course. Word on the street is that Honda took a completely different, more holistic approach to their aero so it should definitely be interesting to see the differences. Obviously the full oval trim is going to look a lot cleaner, more than likely, but it's so refreshing to see a new-look Indycar again.

I'm not a fan of the undertray(I don't like it on the DW 12 either) and the overall design seems clunkier. But, they say that this design and Honda's make the car a bit faster, so if it really does that, then I can live with it.

Slightly off topic and some shameless self promotion but I designed a couple of Indy 500 DVD's as a hobby and I was wondering what you thought (spoilered for size):

That 2011 cover. Still can't believe he would be gone months later...
Anyway, the twin races are later today, thus the Daytona Race Weekend begins. These last few weekends have given some really memorable moments, haven't they?
2010 saw the 500 get delayed for over 2 hours due to a pothole forming on the track.
2011 saw Michael Waltrip win the truck race 10 years to the day of the 2001 500, and Trevor Bayne pulling the huge upset and winning the 500 a few days later.
2012 saw the 500 being raced on Monday and ending on Tuesday after a long delay was caused by Juan Pablo Montoya colliding with a jet dryer, causing it to explode and having oil spill and ignite on the track.
2013 saw the Nationwide race have a scary ending, as the car of Kyle Larson was destroyed on the final lap, sending the engine and tires into the grandstand. This would also end the 2-car tandem at Daytona.
2014 saw the race have a long delay due to rain (making some people think the 2013 replay was the race), and ended with Dale Jr. doing something his father never did: Win the 500 a 2nd time.
I wonder what memorable moments this weekend will bring?

Time sure does fly by. I can't believe it's been 5 years since the pothole incident. I wish I could find it, but some show tracked down the lady who did the commercials for some insurance company, I want to say progressive commercial,(I'm a pothole, y'all...)for comments on the race in character.

I swear that 5 car's been cursed since Terry Labonte retired, at least unless you were Mark Martin.

Danica has a lot to thank Kurt Busch for in making the race, and a lot of underfunded teams managed to make the race which I'm happy for.
I'm going to predict Edwards wins with Trues as my dark horse.

Well, Kurt's done for a while.
I thought Kyle would be the one to completely f*** up his career first.

Well I guess Nascar "pinned his ears back for him" (sorry for the bad joke if you don't get it)
Seriously though good, glad they did what they did. Happy to see Regan Smith get a shot in a pretty decent ride now too. Hope he never gets out of it.

I'm still skeptical considering how crazy and vindictive his ex comes off as, but honestly, neither of them exactly came out looking like saints in that case.
That being said, this is what, the 6th or 7th time Kurt's screwed himself out of a competitive ride? I guess the bridges aren't quite burnt yet, but still.

Apparently, he hit a part of the wall where there wasn't any SAFER barrier.

Press conference going on right now. They said that they will now put SAFER barriers in that area, and other areas lacking in them.

Shit, it's all gone to hell for the Busch brothers in the last 48 hours. One arguably justifiably so, the other by complete bad luck.
