Because sometimes its best to just get to the point... money.cnn.com/2015/01/29/news/companies/comcast-asshole-bill/index.htmlComcast is notorious for poor customer service, but this latest blunder might be a new low.
The company actually changed a customer's name to A--hole Brown, from Ricardo Brown, on a bill after he canceled the cable service.
The story was first reported on a consumer advocate blog by Christopher Elliott.
The customer's wife, Lisa Brown, told Elliott that she was "never rude" to the Comcast reps she spoke to over the phone. She wanted to cancel the cable portion of her account because the family was having financial difficulties.
"We have spoken with our customer and apologized for this completely unacceptable and inappropriate name change," a Comcast spokeswoman told CNNMoney Thursday.
The company said it fired the employee responsible, and is looking at some technical fixes that would prevent this kind of thing from happening again.
Comcast (CCV) is fully aware of its reputation for bad customer service, and has apologized for it before.
In one of the more public incidents, Comcast customer Ryan Block posted a recording of an eight-minute phone call in which a rep refused to cancel his service.
The company has vowed to fix its service problem, but admits that it won't happen overnight.
"It may take a few years before we can honestly say that a great customer experience is something we're known for," a Comcast exec wrote in a company blog post in September.
I respect any company willing to be totally honest with me!

It seems like every few weeks there is another horror story about Comcast costumer service.

I had one call with them where I just got so.... frustrated wasn't the goddamn word for it. I got really angry because the internet had been going out intermittently for like a month, and the lady was saying "Oh there's an outage at the moment", and the cable tv wasn't affected, and it was just complete bullshit, and I got mad and acted inappropriately and I've felt bad and guilty about that for months.
f***ing Comcast.

This is just a simple case of 'Comcast gonna Comcast'. I'm not shocked in the least that something like this happened.

I've had to call Comcast a few times, and they've been cool to me.

Believe it or not, I had a relatively painless experience with Comca$t last Tuesday. After another rate increase that saw my bill jump by six dollars, I decided that the time had come to make the leap and join the growing number of cord-cutters. I absolutely HATE talking on the phone, but finally realized that it was either suck it up and call, or keep paying $3.25 for TV I could get for free. Not to mention that silly HD Technology Fee. Someone up there must have taken pity on me because I reached a customer service rep seconds after being put on hold; hardly any wait at all. I guess honesty really is the best policy: I told her that I was getting rid of cable because I can find everything I want to watch on the Web, and because of the constant rate hikes. Got it all taken care of in less than ten minutes. So Comca$t earns a point on that occasion. And believe me, it was all worth it when I saw my new bill.

If people had their choice of ISP's, Comcast would have either gone down or cleaned up their act a long time. But in the US there are roughly half a dozen in the entire country-in most areas you are lucky if you have two or, at max, three to pick from. And I say this as someone who actually works in the industry.

I never had any issue calling Comcast. They usually fix whatever without any hassle... BUT they are extremely expensive and Google Fiber is coming to Nashville so screw 'em.

I feel bad that I got so mixed up in my own business I didn't make the obvious connection. This is how it all started. We need to all be careful around drawbridges, electric knives, soda machines and steamrollers. Especially if there's any AC/DC piping thru nearby. Just to be safe.

Hearing about Comcast, I have feeling they deserved what ever she said to them. I could be wrong though. Either way not cool.
Also wouldn't it be nice if we all had choices. Here we have Mediacom which is horrible or Century Link which isn't much better at times. Our modem went down and it was over a week before we got a new one. I was about to go out and buy one myself by the end of it.

I like that the word "asshole" is part of the link, yet the censor the word elsewhere.
Seriously... "ass" is arguably now one of the worst things you can ever say on TV, which is funny because you can have more brutal killing scenes in 2014 but mild profanity is a big no-no.

Comcast's service is f'n horrible. I literally spent an hour getting hot potato'd on the phone when I tried to transfer my cable service to my new Apartment only for them to up and cancel it on their own.

I had Comcast once, with the amount of times that I cussed out their garbage customer service reps this guy was probably getting a receipt for me. Sorry buddy.

I refuse to talk to Comca$t on the phone - I use the chat so that I have a written record of it.
I had Insight for cable when I lived in Ohio, and not even the BBB could get them to behave. Comca$t will usually do more than apologize when I go through that. Plus, I don't need my screaming and cussing disturbing the neighbors
