Ok, I am really hoping MJ is bluffing here with Namor. She's still legally married so if she becomes queen of Atlantis and sleeps with the fishes, it's the kind of stuff I am not ok seeing in an all-ages comic strip. Well its clearly made for Troy McClure

So then yes I take it Dead No More is going to be based on the Mephisto thing? The Mephisto thing.....with Spider-Man? Probably not. Although I'm certain he'll be affected - heck, in fact Marvel's statement seemed to infer one person in particular would be REALLY affected by the dead folks; and let's face it, there may be no one better to fit that bill than Peter Parker.

Mephisto was going around offering to bring people's dead loved ones back to life. Not the other Mephisto thing But yeah, with that wording I think Uncle Ben is going to come back to life... at least for hte length of the event. Gwen Stacy would also be possible but he's interacted with Spider-Gwen recently... so I think Ben would affect him much more.

They're doing something with a zombie Uncle Ben in that godawful Amazing Grace ASM mini-series...and they just got done using a spidey powered Ben in Spider-Verse last year (and he just showed up in the latest Web-Warriors)

Zombie Ben is still different than the actual Uncle Ben ... though I retract my statement on Gwen Stacy... but I still think Uncle Ben being alive would screw with him more than Gwen... then again she could blame him for her death... but if he finds out so could Ben... either one would mess with his head.

With the conclusion of Secret Wars I was seriously thinking of changing the thread title ot Not New, Not Different! but we're so close to 100 pages at this point it doesn't seem worth it

Awkward issues averted in the ASM newspaper strip after all. Despite MJ's insistence her proposal was not a trick, Namor turned her down. He probably realized she didn't want to do it and chose to prove how noble he was. Peter was unconscious the whole time so he'll never know what his wife was willing to give up in order to save his life.

Anyone read the Silver Surfer? I do! The combination of the Surfer and the Allreds has been right up my alley since it was announced and despite the Slott haters, I actually think turning the Surfer into an ersatz Doctor Who is a fresh take on him. Certainly better than yet another "How noble thou art!" interpretation of him.
