Man...Marvel and DC have really lost my interest in their comics. My wallet loves it, but my heart doesn't.

While I pretty much gave up on DC a long time ago, and I don't think another company-wide reboot is a smart thing to do so soon, I will say out of all of DC's stupid ideas over the past ten years to reinvent themselves, "Rebirth" is probably the least stupid. While I don't necessarily like DC's new movies and TV shows, they are pop culturally significant and aligning your companies along something like that has a better chance of bringing in new readers and making them care about what's happening in the books.
It sure beats their previous policies and getting writers who can't accept that comics have changed in the last 25 years to write nostalgia driven fanfic.

Another freaking reboot? Wonder if they'll keep Grayson or have Dick go back to being Nightwing. Either way, that's one I'm guaranteed to have on my pull list. About the newest issue of Star Wars {Spoiler}More issues about Obi-Wan? Hells yes!

Marvel has so many good comics right now I am at the point where I may have to drop things I like just to afford things.

Jameson showing some compassion for ol' webhead in the daily strip, and there's an actual explanation for why the Avengers haven't turned up to stop Namor. (mission) or why the military haven't struck yet (MJ and Pharus are in the line of fire). Impressive.
I've really been enjoying this one. Genuine stakes, a strong environmental message, themes of eco-terrorism, an antagonist that is virtually untouchable and has a truly dangerous streak of stubbornness, Peter willing to go all out to stop the invasion despite being in over his head, and we see just how much Mary Jane is willing to give up just to save the life of the man she loves. It's a shame people spend a lot of time making fun of the strip (sometimes it is deserved) as I genuinely think it's better than the regular books and has been for a while now.

Anyone read the Silver Surfer? I do! The combination of the Surfer and the Allreds has been right up my alley since it was announced and despite the Slott haters, I actually think turning the Surfer into an ersatz Doctor Who is a fresh take on him. Certainly better than yet another "How noble thou art!" interpretation of him. I picked up the first collection digitally when it was on sale, read the 2nd in a Barnes and Noble, and read the third the other day in single issues because another SS sale. They are really good. So happy that they are that this good.

Wow....didn't expect I Hate Fairyland to be doing that well. It's a pleasant surprise as I like that book a lot, but didn't expect it to be a top 10 seller.

Im just hoping it wasnt a bump just because Harley was there. That character needs to go away already.

Wait so you mean the guy who has written this exact article at least half a dozen times now, and been wrong all those times, is wrong this time as well. I can't believe it.

Funny that they say not as much synergy and keeping the products separate.......
If you noticed in the April solicits, Harley's hair on a few covers has conveniently changed to the style Margot Robbie is wearing in the Suicide Squad movie. (Mostly white, red & blue tips). A small thing, but enough of them and suddenly not so small...

A small thing, but enough of them and suddenly not so small... Next reboot, Deadshot's gonna look a little different from usual... And also really, really, REALLY want an Oscar. And continually fail to get it.
