A Tommy Dreamer thread where no one has posted a certain video. I'm disappointed. We already know he's fat. Scott Steiner deserves to take a break once in a while. No he doesn't! I've seen that video a million times and every time it gets posted, I cannot resist watching it again.

But if it wasn't for Tommy Dreamer, we would have about 47 less generic rips of Man In The Box, and that's not a world that I want to live in. Such hits as... I'm the male in the cell I'm the guy in the cage I'm the hombre in the prison I'm the person in the confined area.

Dreamer has been on my personal shitlist since Hardcore Justice 2010 where he bled right in front of his two kids and they had to be taken away because of how clearly upset they were. Just like Foley and his kids in Beyond the Mat.
Do you know what was worse?
MICK FOLEY WAS THE MOTHERF****** SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE IN THAT MATCH!!
Lord, that pissed me off to no end. What in the hell were Mick, Tommy, and Raven thinking with that?

Tommy Dreamer is in my all-time top ten. I like him, I respect him, and I teared up when he won the ECW title again in WWECW.
But he needs. To stop.

Tommy is a relic of an old age who just needs to go away. You cry talking about the "good ole days" but news flash Tommy, the good ole days is the reason why a lot of your friends is either dead, paralyzed, or barely in good enough shape to walk around. Compare Tommy to people like Saturn, Mick, even Raven based upon way he has looked and he looks the best out of all of them. Also as mentioned before that blading in front of his kids is sick, and he should be very ashamed of it.

I'm honestly tired of the whole ECW thing. I love the shit. Some of my favorite matches and favorite DVDs are ECW ones. But I'm tired and very saddened by all these guys still hanging on to it. I know it's because they never made any money and any money they did make is long gone and they "need" to do it. Because like someone said, "they were just an indy promotion that got a TV deal". And their guys were just indy wrestlers. And don't get me wrong, I loved the shit out of those guys back in their day. But in 2015...just let it go man. Get a job as a car salesman or in real-estate and let it go. Stop embarrassing yourself and tarnishing the legacy any more than you already have.
Now then there's the blame of TNA the organization being a bigger problem and feeding it all. And even the WWE, but I think they've gotten away from it forever save a DVD here and there. But that's another debate. As far as the individuals go...just go.

At the end of the day if people want ECW they'll watch ECW. WWE has like 6-7 DVD's about ECW. You have about 5-6 reunion shows to choose from, the network plays all the old ECW stuff of these guys in their primes and if that isn't enough Rob Feinstein has every single House Show. You could literally watch every ECW show if you had enough money.
I understand the appeal if you're an indy that is ages away from the city and you go because you might not get a shot to see an ECW guy in person doing an ECW style match again but when you're a TV product it really does come down to "Why would I watch him when he's 15 years past his prime?"

That's exactly right. I enjoyed the attitude era at the time, but I don't want to see those same people past their primes stinking up a ring each week on TV taking up valuable TV time from people way more deserving. Imagine if during the attitude era, Bruno Sammartino popped up here and there to take parts in feuds he didn't belong in and crying about the good old days - it'd be depressing. He'd be out of place and feel like a sad old man. Dreamer is exactly that. He never evolved to the point that he has a place in the current era and he's out of place and trying to live off the past. It's not at all what I want to see in my current product. If I wanted ECW, I would watch ECW ... on the WWE Network. Every time Dreamer comes out he's basically advertising the Network.

He's Worf at this point. If you have your rising star come out and beat Tommy Dreamer up just so he might get a rub for beating up a hardcore legend, you can only do it so many times before your hardcore legend is a joke. Same way every TNG villain of the week beat up Worf so they get the "ooh, he beat up a Klingon" rub.

His last lil run in WWE's ECW was great stuff; but that was years ago.

You think Big Show crying is cringe-worthy? Nothing makes me roll my eyes more in wrestling than when Dreamer cries. I remember when EV2 was feuding with Fortune in 2010 and Tommy had a segment where he cried his eyes out sucking up to each member. Crying all the while before getting his ass kicked by each of them. I laughed my ass of when he got beat down after all that.

This thread made Tommy Dreamer cry, just so you know. Good. Can someone tell me a time when Tommy Dreamer did anything cool? Numerous times from 1993-2001; some cool moments in 2003, a nice pop at the 2008 Rumble, and his last run on the revived ECW (2009?) was bags of fun too. His last title win was great. Let's not just pretend Dreamer has never been anything of value just because he's washed up.
