New Kendrick Lamar is amazing. Not sure if I'd say it's better than GKMC yet, but it's already above TPAB.

DAMN is on another level. Kendrick just solidified his spot as best at it right now.

Gotta agree with Vince Staples here. Kendrick's the absolute best going today, no doubt.
Fear, Humble, Element and DNA are my favorites off of DAMN, but the whole album is his third masterpiece in a row.

The production on the new Vince Staples was a bit different from what I expected (especially when you consider the sound of Summertime '06), but I liked it. Need to give the album a few more spins to fully take it in

4:44 is everything I could've wanted and more. Jay-Z delivered a fantastic album with a thought provoking video for "The Story of OJ" to go along with it.

I've wanted Jay on this type of production for a while. No ID is a beatsmith as well. The album wasn't overly wordy, just straight to the point in a masterfully crafted way. It's made to played all the way through. Nice and cohesive. It's not the only album released this year that has hit on several cylinders, Jay is just an artist that can only be compared against himself. He's one of the few artist that is unique like that. He delivered an album many have asked for. Not an album that sounds like Reasonable Doubt or Blueprint. An album a person in his position at his age should be doing. Dropping game and not just rappingbto rap. Now how he did it is a part of his business plan that I can't disagree with. If that makes it hard for people to get the album then they don't know the internet. We gotten a lot of great albums and mixtape this year so far. Oh. If anyone has listened to Royce's Bar Exam 4 you hear a mixtape that his heavy heavy heavy on the bars. He did it on beats to show what an emcee can do on that type of production. And one more thing. If anyone isn't up on this guy, Mach Hommy is too dope. I recommend these three albums: -HBO (Haitian Body Oder) -The Spook -Mach Hommy and Dump Gawd: The Jimmy Edition

All of the videos from 4:44 have been amazing.
Also, today's the 6th anniversary of Watch the Throne. Shout out to a great album that has aged incredibly well over the years.

I just heard Kodak Black on the Cardi B remix, and I came to a realization.
Let's say hip-hop is like wrestling. You have Jay-Z, who would be like the John Cena of rap now. An established vet and top draw, with outside ventures and they pay attention to new talent.
Then you have Kendrick, who I feel is the Kazuchika Okada of rap. They're both on these critically acclaimed and commercially successful runs, and they're well-rounded talents who are arguably the best in the game.
Kodak is the Enzo of hip-hop now. They get attention for their charisma and being wild, but they're immature and their work itself is hella sloppy.

There are a couple of Kodak tracks I like but I can't really f*** with dude after all the stuff he's pulled.
