Alright, I'm listening to "I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside." I'm like 5 tracks deep right now. ...I'm sorry guys, I'm just not feeling it. Something about Earl just doesn't click for me. He's a great lyricist, no doubt, but his flow doesn't do a thing for me. I feel...bored listening to him. I understand that's his style but I don't care how good of a lyricist you are, if you can't keep me interested, I'm not f***ing with you. The production's doing him no favors either. Dark, slow, and plodding. Which, again, I understand it's his style but it's not for me. Where's the soul? Where's the flavor? The only track I've liked so far is Off Top. Vince Staples's verse on Wool might be my favorite off the entire album. Other than that I think Faucet and Grown Ups are ok, but yeah, he's really low key with his flow. It's strictly for the OFWGKTA/Earl faithful.

For those that care, Tyler the Creator's 4th album "Cherry Bomb" dropped last week. I've already expressed my opinion on those cornballs in Odd Future but again, I know some of ya'll f*** with him so enjoy.

He sounds like a middle schooler with how he insists on being homophobic just to shock, but technically I'm a big fan. Smuckers is fire.

I like the new Tyler a lot. It's the best NERD album that NERD never made.

Just wanted to throw out some random Kanye love, goddamn that guy is good. I think that if more people looked past his shenanigans they'd see just how good that he is. Not necessarily anyone in this thread just in general.

I'm probably the only one who hasn't got into Kendrick Lamar yet.
All in all, I'm so far out of the loop with anyone new, it's like I'm brand new to the scene.
So where should I start when it comes names I've heard good stuff about like Chance the Acid Rapper, Action Bronson, Kedrick (of course) and whoever else you can recommend?
Personally, I'm big into lyrics first and foremost - including the likes of J-Live, K-Os, People Under the Stairs, Dessa and Sage Francis. So literally, all over the map!

Tech N9ne. Eminem. This ain't fire, this is an inferno. Came in here to post this. With the exception of Hood Go Crazy(which is garbage), every song released thus far from Special Effects is amazing.

Roc Nation's newest recruit, Vic Mensa, has a new song out featuring Yeezy. It's been on repeat for me all day, I must have listened to this like 36 times now.

Speaking of hip hop, does anyone here f*** with Yelawolf I like the work he's done with Love Story though, Whiskey in a Bottle especially. But I just feel like if want to listen to southern rap, I got Big KRIT for that these days.
