Brock can make it work though. Get him to wrestle 5 total matches after this Mania and before next Mania. Build Lesnar as a guy in a class by himself and as such, to get a shot at him you have to earn it in a way you've never had to earn it before. He's the final boss, to get to him takes a shit load of work. Yeah but what's the point of watching Raw if you know at the end of the day, none of what happens on the show really matters all that much until August? Everything should matter.

- Lesnar beats Reigns. Rollins cashes in and wins the belt. Lesnar swears revenge on Rollins, but he'll do it just like he did - when he least expects it.
- Lesnar vs Rollins at SummerSlam. Heyman turns on Lesnar to side with the future-turned-present, Seth Rollins. Brock is now a babyface.
- Lesnar vs Rollins II at NoC. Rollins retains via help from Heyman. Brock ends the night by finally getting his hands on Heyman, F5ing him and completing the story.
- Lesnar enters the 2016 Rumble unannounced. Comes close to winning, eliminates Rusev, Rusev comes back defeated and throws Brock out, setting up a feud.
- Brock - still babyface - takes on Rusev at Wrestlemania 32.
Somehow later down the line, Brock and Heyman reunite as heels (kayfabe business move) and we get our Daniel Bryan vs Lesnar match.

I want him to retain... then get curbstomped two minutes later. Or hold it to SummerSlam and lose it to Bryan, also good.

The alternative is watching Roman with the title. I'd rather the title just be retired than watch that boring shit.

I'm quite happy with Brock and the title being a special attraction.
It would also suggest that Brock retaining means Cena and Bryan getting the midcard titles, which opens up a hole new world of fresh matches that will be capable of main eventing PPV.

I'd rather 3-4 months of having a champion who I like but don't see much than 3-4 months of a champion who I can't stand but have to watch every week.

At this point, I don't see how keeping the title on him is going to help the product at all He's a ridiculously over performer and a once in a lifetime talent...neither of which can be said for his opponent.

I don't mind Lesnar wrestling once every couple of months or longer. It adds to the whole thing where he's lightyears beyond everyone else.

Is there confirmation that Brock's new contract is similar in dates to the previous one? It seems with his clear break from UFC that he might work a few more dates in the new contract.
But still, he could retain, fight someone at Mania and then we have MITB that can carry itself. Really there would be maybe one PPV that would need a good title match that wouldn't have it. Then Summerslam.

For me, the longer you have Brock dominating everyone and holding on to the belt, the more unrealistic it makes for anyone to ever beat him.
I love the guy, but if he's going to be around long term somebody needs to come up with a more creative way of booking him than 'wins all the time'.
Rollins should cash in or Reigns should turn heel.

The title hasn't felt this important in over ten years. It should only be defended at the big 4 (WM SS SS and RR) maybe 1-2 occasions on Raw.
The champion is now a special attraction and it's awesome

Wins All The Time is so much better than what they were doing with Brock pre-CM Punk with the losses and the "HELP ME PAUL!" World title matches need to be a BIG DEAL and they finally are. I wish they'd book more of their talent the way they do the expensive part-timers. Gee they're not around every week, yet they somehow mean more than the guys who are.

Imagine Vikings where Ragnar only appears in 2 episodes per season or Breaking Bad where Walter White is a guest star.
He needs to be about for at least one RAW a month and a PPV defense. He bragged about full time pay for part time work? It is 5% he does, not 50%.
I want him to retain and I'm a huge fan but he isn't about enough.

If they are really building to Rock/Brock next year, that might actually be enough for me to want Reigns to win. Rock/Brock cannot be for the title. I will be almost 29 at next years mania and they might have the main event be a rematch of the Summerslam a week before I started my sophomore year of high school. That would be like Hogan and Warrior main eventing Wrestlemania 20 by comparison.

The Cubs are never going to win a World Series, but people still watch their games.
The Super Bowl, Stanley Cup, NBA Championship, and UFC titles aren't defended every month.
It's fine. Make the WWE championship something that can *only* change hands 3 or 4 times a year, while making the IC, US, and Tag titles legit, main-event draws.

It's almost entirely because I don't want Roman to win it. Yes we might not see Brock for a while but then he'll hopefully lose the title to someone the fans actually want to be champion like, I dunno, almost every single one of the other upper card faces or heels.

If he retains and disappears until summerslam then Reigns and Rollins have to start from scratch to become title contenders again. Bear in mind that former champions like Cena, Orton, Bryan will all have to be slayed by the beast before he leaves or drops the belt that means the former shield dudes, Wyatt, the nxt 5 and more have to spend years spinning their wheels before getting a ME programme.
Imagine what WM 36 will be like once all the part timers have hung up their boots and Cena/Orton are on the way out....will the audience suddenly accept a load of hastily promoted mid carders as their new ME?
Reigns isn't ready true but Brock's best role post WM is to use his 4 matches a year for the dream matches v Bryan/Rock/Austin/Orton and leave the title hunt to the full timers.

It's fine with me. I like that the title is defended occasionally. It makes the title have more value compared to when it's defended and swapped multiples times.

I like the part time champ dealio. As long as my faves are heavily featured on Raw and PPV, i'm not too bothered who has the belt. The belt certainly gains some prestige by not being around so much.
