Eh... I'm not sure how I feel about the reboot. I loved the Muppet Show. But it's time in place was in the 70's. I liked the Kermit/Piggy split. I liked the new Kermit with a back bone. I liked vulnerable Piggy. I don't want them to go back to the old archetypes.

I liked vulnerable Piggy. I don't want them to go back to the old archetypes. With me, I see things both ways. On one hand, yes, I can see how people think the mockumentary angle was overdone on TV sitcoms, and that they gave all the characters a harder edge. On the other, I was entertained by it all the same. Now, if this means the return of Muppet Labs and the Swedish Chef segments, I'll give this a chance too.

I like the sound of the changes. Subtle redirection rather than a full reboot. I like them rallying together against a bad guy. It worked so well in the Jason Segal movie.

I am now wondering...does this "reboot" have something to do with the complaints about the first season so far being "too adult"?

Not sure if this is a tease for the reboot or not, but this video sprung up on Boxing Day.

I think it's sad that Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem can't do a show on their own without relying on using clips from the other Muppets. It's why they never broke into the real big time and got to do any of the big festivals. Nice of them to let Lips back into the group after all these years though and especially after the "Spaghetti Incident"

Not sure how I feel about the Reboot. On one hand I understand wanting to bring back the zany silliness but I just really liked the new style, and hell by this point I generally prefer dry deadpan humor to super wacky silly stuff.

Just read that some of the new characters introduced so far will have reduced roles in the reboot. This includes Chip.

The reboot sounds like a load of Good Grief.

Chip is one of the consistently funniest characters. "You were looking right at me. And I've been taught that if they're looking and me and talking to me then they're talking to me"

Good episode, but I would have liked to have seen a Family Guy style cutaway of Key and Peele pitching their oven mitt business on Shark Tank.
