I, on the other hand, will never forgive New Day for constantly reminding me of Legacy's theme song.

their gimmick is clearly black(African American) church leaders. Did everyone forget the promo's with the choir, the church organ theme, or you know the chanting(like church) in the beginning of their entrance. Or even the fact they are calling themselves New Day, a take off of being Born again. Are people really that dense? Thanks for clearing that up for me. Seriously though, do you know how many widely different black churches there are? Are New Day supposed to be Baptists? Seventh Day Adventists? Promise Keepers? Even with the umbrella of "black guys from a black church," that's still outrageously vague. Los Matadores are at least enthusiasts of a specific sport. Their New Day equivalent would be "The Guys Who Work With Animals." really? it's not really that vague. It obviously a mixture of the black churches that clap and sing... If that is what you call vague there are tons of vague gimmicks. Bray wayat is a cult leader, but which one, he also has no REAL FOLLOWERS. Even the two he had he let go. Undertaker is a Undertaker, but he's a zombie... And has magical powers that he almost never uses in actual matches, and gets power out of a urn certain days... WTF is a Mankind?

This means HEEL KOFI KINGSTON! Kofi is a dirty cheater now that pulls hair and uses weapons! He WON'T smile or slap fan hands! I'm just shocked he went heel before Cena did. I think at this point Ricky Steamboat might be the only face to never turn.

This is an instance where I think WWE just may have planned it to go this way. They made them sort of lame, underwhelming faces, having a good idea that it probably wouldn't set the world on fire. Then, turn up the stuff fans aren't responding to well, eventually driving the heat into a turn. It took a while to get here, but WWE did act as soon as the hate peaked. So, they were just waiting for the post-WM crowd?

What I'm saying is suggesting that somehow "black church leaders" is a character is super vague considering we've only seen them in front of a choir. That's it. "New Day" could mean anything. Los Matadores is a MUCH more developed gimmick than something as criminally undefined as New Day. Joeiscool's post about how people are somehow "Dense" for not seeing some defined gimmick in The New Day, and then posting they're "black church leaders" as if we're all missing something, is just silly.

It's not any more vague than any other gimmick in the wwe. I mean los Matadors are bull fighters, but what kind of bull fighter? They don't actually fight any real bulls. Why would a bull fighter want to be a wrestler? Also bulls are bigger than most people. Why is a midget the bull? And in 2 plus years their gimmick has relativity been the same That being said, it doesn't matter if they are actually bull fighters or wrestlers inspired by bull fighting. The point is basically the same. It doesn't matter if the new day are an actual Church group, or a church inspired group, the point is the same, and it's pretty clear....

So you're basing them being a black church group just because they were in front of a choir in the vignettes and that their name has the word "new" in it?

Vignettes are basically short videos showing people's gimmicks. So yes that is a reason to believe that's their gimmick... New Day is a take off of "Being born again" which is a big theme in Christianity... So yes that is a reason to believe that is their gimmick... The fact they say stuff like "feel the power", while they come to the ring. A term largely used to talk about the power of Jesus or the Holy Ghost. Then there's the actual entrance video that looks like a church service. And look at the lyrics... www.youtube.com/watch?v=5S4S2IoBSSoThe clapping and dancing are things that have become synonymous with the African american church. I mean it's not rocket science....

i don't get why new day gets booed while los matadores get a pass Both are just plain terrible gimmicks, but the Matadors at leasdt have El Torito and that's fun enough for them to get by on. New Day before the heel turn was Make a Difference Fatu, Revered D-Von, and Men on a Mission trying to work in 2015. But do they have promos to explain what they're doing? No, we just get Cole and JBL talking about how they like to have fun and clap. And there's also no fun little person in a costume to help them either.

I hope they keep this heel behavior up. They are reminding me of the Spirit Squad.
