Just got to thinking about this a few seconds ago. that was odd, and I'm honestly blanking on if there was any resolution there. Was there?

Nope. Nothing. Went nowhere, just like Curtis Axel's repackaging.

To let you know that Triple H takes 2 weeks to recover from something that keeps others out for months. If I remember correctly weren't a few wrestlers out at the time with concussions? Thinking Fandango and Dolph.

Didn't it have the thrilling conclusion of Steph-Vince-HHH having a three person hug backstage?

It was another attempt at getting people to pop for babyface HHH like he was some sort of hero that failed miserably.
Triple H's booking in general that year was like a really sad dude that needed to feel sexy again.

I'm pretty sure that the real resolution for HHH's concussion storyline was already there: Between how badly Brock Lesnar decimated him and Curtis Axel "finishing the job", the concussions wreaking havoc on HHH's brain led to his personality changing from CTE, and directly damaged his brain enough so that Triple H turning heel and forming The Authority. (By the same token, the only way to truly end The Authority and make Triple H become a face again would be if some superstar were to wail on Triple H's head so badly that it "knocks the sense back into him", so to speak.)

Given his incredibly fragile ego in real life, they had to drop the whole angle when they realized it would require Triple H to look weak, especially after being booked to look like Brock Lesnar's equal. Sorry Curtis, if you're gonna want to be put over, you better grab that brass ring.

I remember WWE catching a lot of crap about running a fake concussion storyline when there were people out with genuine ones, which might've had a part in it getting dropped.

It caused the dissension between Vince and Hunter that ended when H cost Bryan the title at SummerSlam. Then the whole deal with Vince was totally forgotten and we've only seen him once or twice since.

When he's ready to be turned good again, they should spend a few weeks where the faces try to do things like drop flower pots on him only to have him casually walk away at the last second or have him bend down to tie his shoes just before a flying object was to bean him in the back of his head.

Thanks for the reminder that Curtis Axel was actually relevant...for a couple weeks.

Not all concussions are created equally. You can come back in a week from some.

The thought of jobbing or looking weak very nearly killed him. It's no laughing matter.

I want the face turn to happen because of Kane smacking HHH so hard in the head during a backstage segment.

I think they basically wanted a reason to have him be in the ring sparsely and be mostly-retired. 2014 saw him wrestling, sure, but more limited engagements and certainly higher quality ones. (Shit on Triple H, and rightly so for much of it, for a lot of things, but he put over Bryan and the Shield quite a lot and did a damn good job at it)

That match between Curtis and HHH on Raw where Vince kept stopping the match and trips kept restarting it was hilarious
