Wrestling is made of heel and face turns, but some are more logical than others.
What are some examples that you can think of that were weird?
I remember Ahmed Johnson joining the nation for like, a week or two and I can't remember his logic, but I don't think it made any sense at the time-it was like it was a bad idea and creative aborted it really quick.
Sting & Goldberg's turns were short lived and stupid too, but what are some even better ones, for lame or weird reasons?

Goldbergs heel turn was very stupid, they had Scott Steiner already filling that role.
I actually think Stings heel turn could have worked, if Sting had gotten into it. But he didn't and screwed it up just like he did with the crow gimmick.
The infamous double turn between Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan is pure stupidity winning out. I still believe Flair went into business for himself. He had tried it a year and a bit ago when they reformed the horseman.

Foley literally talking Rikishi into being a babyface again. Foley spends like 5 minutes telling evil heel Rikishi how this just isn't really the real him and let's bring back the real Rikishi." Rikishi says okay, dances and all is forgiven.
Power and Glory turning heel and forming, it was weird. Rockers are helping Roma, who just got his ass kicked, Herc is all "don't touch my friend. Arrrgh, we're evil now!"
The infamous Demolition/Powers of Pain double turn was notorious for how confused it left people.
In retrospect, Undertaker's first face turn was strange. "I was cool with you trying to murder that lady with a poisonous snake on her wedding day, but there's no way in hell I'm letting you hit her with a chair."

Rick Martel's heel turn worked out eventually, but before he was the model, he was awkwardly hanging out with Slick. And had Jive Soul Bro as his theme song www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMEWmEDohHk

Hear is how I remember Jeff Hardy in 2003.
HBK tells Jeff that he has to make an impact.
Jeff says: "OK how about I make an impact right now." and he goes to attack HBK.
HBK immediately kicks Jeff in the face.
Jeff tries to save Trish Stratus from Y2J and Christian, gets his ass kicked, HBK then saves Trish and Jeff.
So Jeff turned heel and gets his ass kicked then turns face and gets his ass kicked.

Slick saying he could manage him into anything, even a modeling career because of how good he looked?

Eugene's heel turn on Jim Duggan. So, they lost a tag match where they had to break up as a team. Then, Eugene turns heel on Hacksaw because he thought we were all laughing at him? Yeah, that makes sense. Especially considering there was zero build.

I just remembered watching jimmy hart's face turn-it happened so fast and was silly to brush off a heel manager turning face for the first time after being in the WWF for nearly a decade

Alex Shelley joining the Embassy and Owen Hart joining the NOD.
Both guys didn't get their big baby face moment because their opposition was being pushed.

Um.. There wasn't much stopping you all this time Jimmy.

Stone Cold at WM17. Made no sense. Especially given the location.
Sid Justice being labelled a heel for doing absolutely nothing wrong at the 1992 Royal Rumble, and then being further screwed by Jack Tunney
Undertaker having a pang of conscience for Miss Elizabeth.

Stone Cold at WM17. Made no sense. Especially given the location. I didn't like the turn per se, but ever since Austin returned in fall 2000, he acted even more heelish and paranoid than before, attacking/blaming everyone in sight for the attack at SS99...so it kinda made sense to me that he became so paranoid and "evil" that he'd even join forces with Vince

Alex Shelley joining the Embassy and Owen Hart joining the NOD. Both guys didn't get their big baby face moment because their opposition was being pushed. Gotta disagree with the Shelley one. Found nothing strange about that. He was in Gen Next, laid waste to half of the roster so once he was kicked out of Gen Next despite being a de facto babyface now nobody trusted him or liked him because of what he had done. The commentators and wrestlers constantly referred to it. So he was alone, with no friends battling the people who turned on him. Then Nana offers him a friendship and a family. It was perfectly built and I don't see anything strange about it. Now Gen Next turning face to fight off The Embassy on the other hand wasn't really logical, but they were getting babyface heat so it just made sense to turn them face because the crowd loved them.

Orton getting turned into a babyface because.....he's better than Triple H. What could of worked didn't because well "reign of terror" during that time and fiery babyface Orton was a dud not matching his persona.
Honorable mention: Big show every single year

I have to say Undertaker yanking the chair out of Jake Roberts hands and turning face in 1992. At that time...deadman zombie who puts people in bodybags and attempted murder on the ultimate warrior, funerary music, wears all black and gray. FACE? Nah. Didn't work for me.

Michael Cole
Because I never understood why a wrestler wouldn't just beat a small, un-athletic announcer to death, for insulting them repeatedly.
It's not like Bobby Heenan, who at least had the Heenan Family to back him up. Cole had nobody, but guys like Daniel Bryan just took his shit week after week.
