If you could pick just one wrestler that didn't destroy themselves with drugs/insanity/bitterness/suicide whatever, and they had a longer career and were more humble today, who would you pick?
My pick would be super Billy graham. I never knew anything about the guy until I watched his DVD and I was so impressed with him! He was a genius on the MIC and really made an awesome looking champion. He wasn't a great wrestler but good enough to watch. I actually kinda liked his commentary's later on too.
I agree with him, he should've had a longer reign as champ and I wouldn't've minded some more commentary from him either if he didn't cripple himself so badly...

I think the obvious answer to that is Chris Benoit. Not even for his sake, but the two innocent people whose lives he ended.

As far as injuries go, Super Dragon. I would love to see him wrestle a plethora of people in PWG. Unfortunately his body(pretty much from the top on down) is too damaged to do it.

Scott Hall and Jake the Snake despite their careers they could of been so much more but they couldn't be trusted.

Purely from a wrestling point of view, Scott Hall for me too.

For a pure career standpoint, I would choose Bret. Not that he destroyed himself with drugs or anything, but the last three years of his career were garbage and then he suffered a completely avoidable injury that ended his career. I actually wish he had simply retired after Montreal instead of going to WCW.
HBK had a hall of fame career that ended due to injury. Then he came back and had a second half of his career that would be hall of fame worthy on its own. It's sad to me that Bret never got that second act.

There's a long list of guys who's lives self destructed over their careers, hard to pick just one.

As was mentioned, has to Benoit just for the fact that he killed a kid.

Eddie Guerrero. Because I feel if you save Eddie, then Benoit probably also doesn't happen.

Hall. Granted we got to see him through his full prime anyway but even now you can still see the long term effects of the substance abuse.
Curt Hennig, passed in his early 40's and missed significant chunks of his brilliant career to back injuries. But man was he fun to watch. I think he would probably still be wrestling to this day, but steroids and substance abuse took its toll...though unlike others nobody looked a Curt and said "man that guy is falling apart"

A lot of obvious answers are here, ones that I totally agree with, so I'll add Barry Windham's name to the conversation. Was probably the most naturally gifted wrestler to ever step foot in the ring, and a few poor business decisions mixed with loyalty to his family, weight problems and overall laziness hurt what could've been one of the greatest careers of all-time.

That's a good one and made me think that many of the Horsemen would be applicable. Tully's career was derailed by drugs and injury ended Arn's career prematurely. Flair had a great career but seems to be a wreck otherwise. Luger suffered devastating physical effects of his drug and steroid abuse. Kind of a sad addendum to the legacy of the Horsemen.

Chris Benoit for obvious reasons. I have a feeling Kurt Angle's story is just going to get sadder long before it gets better.

Jeff Hardy. Could've easily been the face of the company for years if he had just had his head on straighter. It's even more painful as a huge fan seeing him in what's left of TNA doing high-risk moves for nothing practically.

Eddie Guerrero. Because I feel if you save Eddie, then Benoit probably also doesn't happen. But what if the concussions part of it was true? You can't do anything about that, no?

Kanyon.
It's not really fair to say he "destroyed himself" when an inborn mental illness was the heart of it, but it's still tragic. Based on talent alone, if anybody could have had a lifelong WWE career as a road agent or trainer, it's him.

Personally, Chyna. I never liked her but I feel like I desperately want to help her.
As a fan, Kurt. Sometimes I forget just how much of a fan of his I was in his WWE and early TNA career.

Jake Roberts. With his mind for the business, just imagine what a booking team of him and Raven could have done in mid-90s WWF.
