I've never been a huge fan of The Big Guy, but I'd like to see him get a shot. I compare him with Reigns because they're both big bodied guys and have the "this guy will rip your head off" presence Vince loves, and both have a weird relationship with the fans where they'll get booed out of the building one night and cheered heavily the next.
I think right now, at this moment, starting now, Ryback would be a better option. He's a better talker, about the same level in the ring, to me he's more likeable.
Reigns as a heel, on the other hand, is money. Maybe they'll swerve us and turn him heel instead of Ambrose.

To be honest, if I wanted to build around 4 future stars, it'd be the three Shield members and Ryback.

I don't get Ryback's appeal at all. He's the modern day Jerry Flynn to me. I don't think there's anyone I like less on the current roster.

Ryback may be limited in the ring, but I think from a talent-to push ratio, he's better than Reigns. He's not the best in the ring, but he's a "Big Guy", and thus shouldn't be expected to put on five star classics. Ryback is a REAL monster hoss. Reigns is not, WWE just likes to pretend that he is. In ring wise, Reigns should be held to a higher standard than Ryback, and I don't think he's there yet.

Ryback has charm and charisma in all the right places, especially for the meathead looking guy that he is. I could endlessly watch Ryback being Ryback whereas I don't feel the same way about Reigns in the slightest.

Reigns is the better of the two in the ring, pretty handily, but I just like Ryback more. The guy has a better character, he's a better speaker, and he just has a huge amount of charm. To be honest, if I wanted to build around 4 future stars, it'd be the three Shield members and Ryback. I dunno, three hours of triple powerbombs every week could get old after a few years.

Yeah I was gonna correct myself on that, Reigns is comfortably better than Ryback in the ring, I was underselling Reigns a bit there.

Reigns is much better in the ring and has more star quality, I think... Ryback is fine, he doesn't put on great matches but he brings good intensity and connects well with the fans because of his odd ability to take even the goofiest material and somehow make it work. I see him more as a Kane or Big Show type of guy (future local man, I guess) who can believably fight in main events when needed but can't really be 'face of the company'.

Ryback's the most easy to transition back to hugely over right now if they got behind him

I've never got the love for Ryback on here. "The Big Guy" is a funny character but in the ring? No thanks. Reigns has a lot more potential.

See, Ryback is great for what he's supposed to be. Big power guys still have their place. The stuff he does looks dynamic.

As a big fan of both, I'd say Ryback because he's been around for a good while and he deserves something for how many times he:s been screwed over.

I'm quite biased but I'd pick Reigns.

Ryback is more fun and ready but Reigns has far more potential. Since we're talking right now, Ryback.

Ryback has more to him than Reigns does. Ryback has a different level of charisma, more of a gimmick, there's something to get your teeth into. Roman is just pretty boy not-really-a-hoss.

I prefer Roman. Ryback's got charisma, but I think he has even more issues with depth in-ring than Roman does.

While I like both, I got to pick Reigns since he's proving himself in big matches while gaining trust and support from fans post Mania. Ryback is a charismatic sumbitch but how much of that will save him in a match. Before he won back his goodwill with fans and workers, Warrior was the last person people would go out of their way to watch his matches no matter how much of a showman he was. Reigns is still learning on the job but he's improving almost every week to the point of 2 years from now, he'll be one of WWE's top workers bar none.
