Whole thing sucked.
They should have used my idea of Sting spending six months to a year building a faction to bring down the Authority, and it would finally end with Sting beating HHH clean, and this would eliminate HHH and Steph as on-air acts from then on.

It's the How I Met Your Mother of pro wrestling storylines. Every thing is pretty awesome and then the ending ensures you never want anything to do with it or the build-up to it ever again.

Disco Inferno was on Colt Cabana's podcast this week. Disco is the true last holdout from WCW. Disco vs. Fandango the next Wrestlemania will be even bigger than Sting/HHH. thats all i came here to post so im done hopefully the match has a run in from Alex Wright

I didn't think the match was fun. So it didn't save any of the horrible Sting usage. The Authority has won and are kind of not on TV a lot. Instead of someone taking them down....they're crumbling from the inside.
Maybe Sting can wear red and black and join The Authority: Wolfpac when he returns.

It was like he started his WWE run only to get gassed immediately.

On the bright side, Sting did not wear a t-shirt for his Wrestlemania match.

It's like when you go into a room looking for something and then forgot why you came in there. You stand there confused for a second, then leave feeling like a dumbass.
That's Sting's entire WWE stint thus far.

This is Sting's WWE career:
- Removes the Authority at Survivor Series.....and they return a month later
- Faces HHH at Wrestlemania.....and loses
- Thanks HHH for the whole thing
From a storytelling perspective, there's really no logical defence of this. None of it makes any narrative sense.

It wasn't all that surprising to me that HHH won the match since Sting had the upper-hand throughout the entire feud. I didn't really understand why DX/NWO had to come out, but HHH winning didn't bother me. Neither man winning the match really meant anything anyway.

If there are no stakes in a feud or match, neither should exist.

I'm not gonna get mad about it but don't sit there and tell me HHH winning meant nothing, haha. It was clear as day that this was WWE going "WWF > WCW" in 2015.
I fully admit that if it was someone other than HHH that beat Sting, I wouldn't have a problem with it but with HHH's track record, this whole thing came off very insecure.

This is why it would have made no more sense for Sting to face the Undertaker, because it would never have been promoted as anything more or less than a one-off icon vs icon match. No angles, no feud, no bullshit storyline. Just once in a lifetime and nothing more. All it would require is one meeting a few weeks before WM on RAW where both guys simply said "it's nothing personal or bitter...it's just a one time thing. Legend vs Legend" and that's all.
