On the bright side, Sting did not wear a t-shirt for his Wrestlemania match. He pretty much looked like a million bucks until his hair started going crazy. Yeah when his hair looked like bozo the clown I kept giggling. homie needed some conditioner

Do you think they paid him a ton just to show up WCW at a ppv, or is Sting just too nice of a guy and gets walked on?
Of course the nWo jobbed too, kinda

The fact that his match was framed as the ultimate decisive final battle of the invasion certainly did not help.

I have to wonder if the whole WWE vs. WCW aspect was something McMahon held very close to his chest until the day of the show in order to not spook Sting. It's somewhat bizarre when you look at the story they were telling (Sting vs. the Authority) and how it completely took a left turn at WrestleMania without any warning. To me it reeks of Vince trapping Sting into an angle he never would have signed up for otherwise.

Made me sick to see Sting lose a Mania match against a semi-retired HHH. Sting actually looked better in the match than HHH did.

It was a great match and Sting is pushing his age more than Undertaker, so I'm glad Hunter won.

To me it reeks of Vince trapping Sting into an angle he never would have signed up for otherwise. Yeah, Sting even had his promo stating that it had nothing to do with WCW and acknowledging that it would be crazy so many years after the fact. When the commentary team started randomly talking WWE vs WCW I was confused and then concerned. I suspect the hand shake was an out of character moment, kinda like the kliq hugging before Nash and Hall went to WCW. Perhaps doing it in front of everyone was silly given Trips was back in character later in the night but that was the vibe I got. Out of character show of respect. I loved both WCW and WWE, hated the invasion, hated how WCW has been crapped on relentlessly by WWE and yet I enjoyed Sting's program for the most part. Yes the authority came back but that was not Sting's fault, that was poor writing and a stupid face. Fact is, him losing after a blow to the head by a hammer and all those run ins was alright with me. I can even forgive the handshake (as I can separate it from the match mentally). I would have loved for the 4 horsemen to be the WCW runins but largely I enjoyed Sting's run in WWE. It wasn't Earth shattering but I did enjoy it.

It wasn't terrible, quite good in places. But it felt like there were some bad missteps and it didn't live up to what it could've been.
However, I don't think this is the end of things.

Yeah this ain't the last thing we've seen of Sting
Any chance we get Sting+Charlotte vs HHH+Steph at Summerslam?

What you have to remember with the match is that if Sting had won, then WCW would've won the war that ended 14 years ago, and therefore the company that now makes money for WWE as one of its assets would've taken JBL's job. Or something.

looking back on it now, I enjoyed it as I finally saw Sting in a WWE ring. I also bought just about all of his merch. I hope he goes to the WWE HOF next year so I can watch him be inducted.

I want to see Sting vs Cena at Summerslam, Sting vs Rollins at Survivor Series for the belt, and Sting vs Taker at Mania.

I'm a huge Sting fan and I was extremely disappointed by his miserable WWE run. This was something that dreamed about for years, but in typical WWE fashion, they completely shit the bed. There was no reason he should've lost to Triple H outside of the fact that Triple H is a f***ing egomaniac.
If you want to break his WWE run down, it gets even more depressing...
- Awesome debut/ends The Auhority. - Disappears for a while. - Authority comes back like nothing ever happened. - Dumb videos. - Dumb body doubles with bad wigs. - Dumb voice modification. - Decent appearance on the Raw prior to WrestleMania. - Loses to Triple H in yet another Kilq circle jerk. - Does an after Raw thing on the WWE Network where he (to me) looked as disappointed as the fans. Oh yeah, he also dropped Bo f***ing Dallas, for whatever reason.
