When was the last time they had a popular face champ for an extended period of time? It has to have been years. Punk, I guess? Cena would have had it for four months after beating Rock, and then really nothing.

I didn't watch, but I'm okay with all the results besides Sheamus winning MITB. That just seemed to be out of left field.
Not even a Reigns fan but having him with the briefcase would be poetic justice after Seth cashed in on him. That doesn't mean Reigns has to win...but I'm really hoping Sheamus doesn't win when he cashes in.

For myself maybe it's slight burnout? Overburn? Something like that. I loved when PPV's had weight behind them. they were special. They were a spectacle. Now... now it's just Sunday Night Raw.

So just to be clear... They have Rollins lose to the jabronis on Monday night to set him up to win this match tonight. That made no sense in the first place if he was going to straight up beat someone on PPV six days later, but okay. They surprisingly have Rollins look mega strong towards the end and destroy Dean Ambrose. So Rollins is going to win, they have him absolutely wipe out someone seemingly indestructible, and they have a chance to salvage the ridiculous match from Monday. Instead, they have Rollins win anyway, but make it look like a fluky win he stole at the finish line. They couldn't get out of their own damn way to make THEIR chosen champion not look like a complete loser for two seconds. I swear, stuff like the four WTF finishes tonight are why I've watched two episodes of Raw since the Rumble. They don't know how to get out of their own way. Good wrestling really doesn't matter much when the finishes take a piss all over it. I think the lost to J&J was meant to be taken as a wake-up call for Seth. But still.

I am beyond sick of heel champions. Would it really hurt the WWE if a babyface won the title and had a lengthy reign?

To me that still makes Ambrose look like a chump. He couldn't beat a dude who lost to two retired wrestlers six nights ago? They idiotically booked themselves in to a major corner with that.

I mean, I liked that finish in theory. But, now that I'm thinking about it...it would have been significantly more effective if they hadn't booked Rollins like a total goof during his reign. The idea is that Rollins, after having this hellacious war with Ambrose, just barely scraped away with the title. Rollins gets over because he took such a massive ass whooping but he pulled the win out of his ass because he was the damn champion. Ambrose gets over because he took the champion, the best, to his absolute limit and just barely lost. Like, any other day, Ambrose pulls down the title and wins. That's how it close it was.
Due to the way they've booked him though, this comes off like just another flukey title win of this wack ass champion. It falls flat because they haven't done a good enough job of establishing Rollins as a threat.

Seriously, how can this not be bought as the match ender? Like, did you see how glass-eyed and vacant Ambrose was after he took it? Running Lyger Bomb on a ladder sure should be a match ender. Except that it wasn't. Ambrose got up. This would have been a good Falls Count Anywhere No Holds Barred finish. Like I said previously, wrong gimmick for the match.

Well, with that whole you have to come down and have full possession of the title.....when did WWE become TNA??? Didn't the E' do this ending before with Ziggler in an IC Title Ladder Match.

When you have a ppv every two weeks and it's always a heel weaseling out with a title, it's exhausting. Especially when it goes on for years at a time. F*** the chase sometimes you gotta just run with whats hot but noooo. They want to create sympathy for the faces. It doesn't work with most of us anymore because we are so burned out from the same booking heels are given that it creates apathy.

Today must be opposite day. That finish was farthest thing from sense. It has always been the person who comes down from the ladder with the item, both men left the ladder with it but Seth Rollins was the man came down with it. So just have seth kick dean off or have him cap deans knee again instead of that contrived mess they did.

The only thing possibly bright spot on the horizon is Brock coming back and just destroying everyone/winning the title back. Honestly, a good way to end the show would've been Paul Heyman showing up during that weird post-match interview to warn Rollins that his client will be at Raw tomorrow to personally "congratulate" him for the win. That way, you get to pop a ratings increase by teasing Bork's return.

Here is the only thing I don't get. There has literally been several threads about Rollins looking weak. Tonight he pretty much beats the shit out of Dean Ambrose... And it is stupid, a terrible match, awful finish, burial of Ambrose.. So, what can they do to please? The thing about Rollins is, that, for the past several months, his credibility decreased, even with the MITB briefcase or the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He lost a lot of matches, making it hard to believe that the Authority would have his back. It seemed like a bit of a stretch to buy that Rollins would give Ambrose such an ass kicking with such a poor win-loss record since he sold out bought in to the Authority last year. For months, he was made to look very incompetent. Would you even buy that Rollins could beat Ambrose at all?

Cena / Owens was great (though the ending was really flat, and I don't mean Cena winning - I mean how he did), but the rest of the show ranged from godawful to KILLME. dude, you have been a bit dramatic tonight. Hyperbole's my language. And besides that... Honestly, that whole show was just a miserable experience. I kept watching because maybe - maybe - something , but you basically had the opposite of the ideal winner in every single match, said matches were all drawn out and dull, and during that last match in particular I swear I was looking at the clock every thirty seconds wondering how the hell it wasn't 10:55 yet. I feel like I aged 40 years watching that thing. That was agonizingly boring, which I suppose fits with the godawful title reign it wound up continuing.

The finish didn't make sense. You never have to have the title in your hands when you hit the mat. Once you unhook it, you win. They both unhooked it so technically Rollins and Ambrose should be co-champs (another crappy finish, no doubt).
I'm not normally one to bitch too much over WWE but, I'm sorry, that show totally sucked. The worst of the year by far and the worst in recent memory. The fact that Battleground is up next doesn't help!
If you subscribed to the WWE Network for free, I doubt that show will convince anybody to keep subscribing for 9.99 in future. In fact, they're more likely to lose paying customers after that monstrosity.
Night guys.
