Remember Video Power? "This is Johnny Arcade, with your VIDEO POWER EDGE! In order to successfully get over the koopa troopers, hit the A button to jump! This insider tip brought to you by HEAVY SHREDDIN'!" OMG, yes! I wanted to be on that show so bad when I was a kid; running through that maze while sticking video game boxes onto a Velcro suit looked like a blast. Roundhouse never seems to get talked about that much since All That took its thunder. A staple of the original SNICK, along with Clarissa Explains it All, Ren and Stimpy, and Are You Afraid of the Dark. I caught an episode on Nick Reboot; would you believe me if I told you that the entire half hour was spent making light of school shootings and gang violence? I just sat there in stunned silence as they made jokes about the "Gimps" and the "Cruds" and complained about having to go to school out of fear of getting shot. Imagine the shitstorm Nickelodeon would be in if it tried that today! But here's the kicker: just before the ending credits rolled, the lights in the studio dimmed and some text came up with facts about how many kids die in school shootings every year. The last line said "School shootings are no joke." So let me get this straight, Roundhouse: You just spent an entire half-hour making fun of a very serious subject, and then you turn around and acknowledge how serious it is? Here are two shows I enjoyed as a kid. Anyone remember them?

For a kid's show, Eureeka's Castle was one of the best non Henson puppet projects.

That sounds like something the network probably forced them to do. Kids show after all.

Roundhouse never seems to get talked about that much since All That took its thunder. I've heard some people talk about it before... I think it even came up in [thread name redacted] once... I was never really a fan of the show... but I was on a tour of Nick Studios while they were filming an episode of it ... or rehearsing one... or something.

The Samurai Pizza Cats and their self-depreciating nature are my lifeblood. YES. Rediscovered it at the start of the year and was pleasantly surprised. Cyril Sneer and the pigs make the show for me. Also, my ringtone is currently this: We just got the DVD set of SPC the other day.

The end theme, "Run with Us", is amazing. Hell, the entire Lisa Lougheed soundtrack is pretty great 80's pop.

Wild & Crazy Kids Heathcliff LOVED me some Heathcliff. I still know the theme despite having not seen the show in some 20 odd years I didn't realize I still knew the theme, until I read your post and immediately popped in my head. Some world-class aural manipulation there. There was this show with on Nickelodeon in the early 90s, from what I remember it was pretty much about a koala climbing trees and eating eucalyptus leaves. It was my favorite show, and one day, it was just gone. One of my first true feelings of loss. Anyway, for the life of me I can't remember what it was called.

The Teen Wolf cartoon. It was amazing and had the best opening of all-time. I would kill to have a DVD set.

Or maybe this? Nickelodeon sure had a thing for koalas in the early-90s.

So a bunch of Koala stuff was made... and it was cheap to air in America

By the way, I'm no expert, and I just try to sample everything I can get my hands on in historical and modern pop culture, but in post-apocalyptic society, the way to rebuild children's upbringing should be playing old tapes of 80s/early 90s Nickelodeon. Pretty sure that's what I've gathered from hours upon hours of research.
