To all of you, I raise my glass. It was an amazing near-seven years, and we did some great work (Team FCW forever).
As I said before: Stay golden, ponyboy's. I'll see most of you on the relaunch.

With teary eyes and unsteady hands, the WWE:FAN e-fed comes together one final time as a community to each brutally and violently plunge all accumulated birthday shanks into Waffel.

So, then, it's over. 7 years and 245 threads after it started, the strange thing known as WWE:FAN has come to an end with, quite frankly, one of the best shows we've ever put on. It's awfully quiet in here now, so I thought I'd start a discussion.
When I first saw this place in March of 2012, it seemed awfully odd. I believe the main event at the time was Mark Henry vs Claudio Castagnoli, and there was a weird angle with a heel Cena and Melina(?), and so on. I switched off. However, when I found it again in that year's October, it seemed like a good idea to join it. There was a lull in shows owing to the Hurricane, I think, but I claimed Big E Langston anyway, and tried the much touted new nation gimmick. It was dull, so I switched to the Big E of WWE:FAN fame. Impressively, I lost my first ever match against another writer. At my first Wrestlemania, I went 0-1, losing a hardcore title match to Isis(though, looking back, I think it was just a 1IC match).
That summer I took arguably my most successful character, Damien Sandow, and began a journey that would lead through a great tag team with Waffel to MITB and the main event of the last ever show of WWE:FAN.
Did I think it'd end up like this when I skimmed this place all the way back in march of three years ago? Of course not.

As someone who was here when the doors opened 7 years ago, I had mixed emotions about how WCWWE/WWE Fan edition ended. Nothing lasts forever. My own creative juices ran out shortly after I lost the WHC with Morrison. But when I left two years ago(I'm pretending my failed attempt to return didn't happen ) this place was in pretty good shape. New writers were still coming in. New creative angles were still being created. It never really felt stale to me. And truly believe it would still be going strong if not for the fake-drama / cease and desist. Part of me HATES the way that it was basically forced to close shop. But another part of me is glad that it could go out with a bang instead of just fading into nothing like the WCTNA/TNA Fan Edition and the indy e-feds did. So it was both a blessing and a curse. Probably what bothers me the most, is the major effort by so many people into making sure that our history would be preserved even if/when the doors shut on this place. Mainly cause I enjoy(ed) reading back on older storylines as well as some of the more current stuff. And it was all organized in such a way that I could go directly to each of the episodes to do that. But now that is all gone, and that leaves me a little empty. I wish everyone good luck on the re-boot/expansion that is planned. I hope it can be even better than what has been left behind.

Hey. Figured I'd post some final reflections here.
I joined in October of 2012, after seeing a bunch of signatures for this place. Growing up I was always interested by e-feds, but never really got involved in any. This was my first. Percy Watson was my first character, and I wrote for him for a good long time (up until Mania 2014, IIRC). Won two IC titles with him, too. I also wrote for: Lance Action, Eva Marie, Summer Rae, Reyals, Dante Dash, Xavier Woods, Savio Iroikos, The Great Khali, Byron Saxton, Dolph Ziggler, Glen Jacobs, Bill Traven, Miroslav Borev, Randy Orton, and Ron Killings. Over the years I've made friends, wrote stupid stuff, wrote important stuff, and gotten myself involved in a community of great people. Nothing but love for everyone involved here. If y'all want anything, my inbox is always open. See you kids in WU!

Yeah a part of the deal you guys get access (for a limited time) to it to handle finalizing your history (unedited) copying to do with it what you will. It's off FAN but I couldn't bear to have you guys lose YEARS of writing over any of this. I'm looking forward to the new fed, y'alls setup sounds awesome. I wouldn't mind being involved somehow but I can't dedicate the time to a character unfortunately.
