(I offer this question with all due respect to the tremendous loss of the great man and mind of Dusty Rhodes... )
Clearly, NXT is Hunter's baby, and Albert is the head trainer/coach, but by all accounts, it seems as though Dusty was the creative head at NXT. Has there been any speculation as to who might step into that role? I would think Regal would be a shoe in, but who knows. Is there anyone you would like to see in the role?

Zeb Colter if he isn't going to be on TV.

Ryan Ward is head of creative for NXT I believe. If you are talking about helping the talent find and develop characters, there is no one person that can replace Dusty in that capacity, IMO. I could see them giving Jake Roberts a chance at teaching promos if he can keep going down the good path but I really don't know of one person that could do all he did.

Honestly, a combo of Zeb and Regal would probably be solid.

Hopefully, whoever takes on the task keeps it simple. NXT has benefited from storylines that avoid being convoluted, generally speaking.

I didn't even think about Colter. That's a good one.
I don't think Jake would be ready for it, as even though his revival has been great,it might be a little bit of "going zero to sixty) you know. But I could be wrong, and maybe working with talents would be good for him, so who knows. On the same token Hall and Waltman would be interesting picks as well.
I agree that keeping it simple has been a strength of NXT. With Dusty having such a big impact on all the talents, they would need someone who could engage the talent in a similar way.

Of course! I don't know if he would be willing to give that kind of time now with his family, but yes. That's a home run right there.

This would probably never happen but I'd love to see it just because Heyman always had a knack for doing a lot with a little. It'd be amazing to see what he could do for guys like Bull Dempsey or Mojo Rawley.

I'd honestly like to see Vince Russo but only if a strong enough personality is there to counter him. Russo is terrible when he has control. He's a genius when you can filter out 95% of his complete and total bullshit.
Regal, Zeb and Russo would be a fascinating combo. But like I said, 95% of what Russo says needs to go straight into the garbage can.
