It's like his persona has shades of Punk and he has a similar appeal to audiences. Do you think he fills the void that CM Punk left?

I'll have to see Owens do a face run before I can fully give him that sort of kudos. As a heel, he is knocking it out of the park.

I dunno, I think he needs more space than that.

He can fill the void when any wrestler leaves and then some.
This is because he is fat.

Steen has never cut a promo on par with Punk's epic 3 - "This is Straight Edge," Summer of Punk kickoff, and the Pipe Bomb.

The void that Punk left was filled pretty quickly by everyone else stepping their game up and the rise of Daniel Bryan leading to WrestleMania XXX. Kevin Owens is doing an amazing job, though.

Punk always came off as the "real" guy. Even when he wasn't doing the pipebon worked shoot stuff, Punk had a true knack for not coming off as a character. Owens has that going for him too.

I always felt that Rollins was the one that took over Punks role. It's funny because when I first saw him in ROH, I thought he was a poor mans CM Punk, I liked him but didn't think he would make it in the WWE. I am happy to saw that I was dead wrong. Owens is a lot different than Punk, he is in a category by himself and I have a feeling that he would get a lot more popular than Punk.

I thought Seth Rollins was kinda filling the CM Punk void already. At least in character & role. Not as much in popularity (yet).

Punk left a lot of voids when he got married.

Give him a while. When he starts bitching online about how he's being "held down" despite the WWE giving him everything, THEN he will have replaced Punk.

I've pretty much seen Ambrose as that guy. He's way over with the same crowd.

I doubt it, Punk seemed like a guy who always spoke with some genuine gripes, also while signing for WWE Owens instantly became one of HHH's "boys" so again that is another huge difference between the two. CM Punk really was one of a kind in the way he spoke and acted.

That's pretty much what I see too. Punk was just himself wrestling, he didn't feel like he was playing a role. Same applies to Kevin Owens.

I've pretty much seen Ambrose as that guy. He's way over with the same crowd. Yeah I'd say Punk and Ambrose are both the type that know how to make wrestling fun (generally speaking). They're good at acting in the moment, adding the little touches and essentially inviting the audience in on the fun. Owens is getting there too, he's good at the little details that make things believable, is one of the more consistent characters and things like his recent commentary, hypocritical promo against Joe and power-bombing that musician were great.

Ugh enough fat jokes, done to death
Owens is a different character than Punk. They both have their special nuances and traits which make them stand out, besides their obvious strengths
