Fortunately for KO, having a podcast or live online show is now a fairly well established model for business. He might not make as much as he did on TV or he might make more since he will get to keep more of the profits if he went with that route.

This is the first time in like ever where KO was not being an ahole who at least partially to 90% of the reason why he was fired. Weird.

I stand by everything I said about this. ESPN can go f*** themselves with their league ass-kissing bullshit.

Interestingly, this is literally only the 2nd time he's ever left a network not on his own accord. Yes, despite popular belief, Current was the only other time he was fired from a job.

Of course if he is practically his own boss, things might get a little awkward when he inevitably has to quit or fire himself in front of a mirror.

If Goodell and the NFL honestly pushed for this, that speaks volumes to how insecure they are. Olbermann was on ESPN2 and just drawing moderate ratings; were they afraid he'd trigger the freaking downfall of the league?

Have him appear on RAW
Then let Kevin Owens powerbomb him
Cole can say "KO just got KO'd by KO!"

People with credibility and ESPN are just a terrible fit. Fixed

Have no problem with Keith Olbermann being gone. Knew he was going to burn his bridges eventually as he did it with ESPN beforehand. Wonder which channel he will try crawling on his knees to this time.

Yeah, if that was their intent, they only insured many more eyes and ears on his criticism. Oops!

This is Playmakers all over again. And Playmakers looks pretty tame in comparison to the NFL today. The NFL looks horrible in this.

Look, I don't love Olbermann, but this situation has nothing to do with him burning bridges before or what he may or may not do in the future. After all, ESPN brought him back knowing full well who he is. This is ESPN driving away any voice that dares to challenge the NFL. They kept neutering Simmons until he basically dared them to get rid of him, and now they're axing Olbermann because he dares speak out about the NFL. The network has no balls and absolutely ZERO credibility

There are plenty of columnists who are on the channel who give their opinions about the NFL and their problems...and they seem to be doing fine, although it is other stuff they get suspended for.

Can Stephen Smith go too? f*** that dude. He was always annoying but the whole "women better learn their place if they dun wanna get hit" shit he kept pushing after people were criticizing Mayweather for his domestic abuse really soured me on him.

Trust me, he'll burn his bridges with them soon...immediately after whatever new job he gets. Keith can't help it. This thread has already cited that this has nothing to do with Keith burning bridges, and much more to do with ESPN cutting costs and caving in to the NFL. People are free to have whatever opinion of Olbermann they want, but let's stick with information that's available to us when discussing the situation.
