If they want someone like Reigns to be a top guy, put him in the ring with Cesaro in a 15 minute competitive match, and he'll look like one.

I love John Cena. Always a highlight.

OK I didn't watch Raw last week. Which Cesaro vs Cena match was better?

The Cena hate has definitely jumped the shark. he has put on nothing but great matches lately. I like great matches. I like great finishes. I like unpredictable finishes. Cena does the first one of these well. The other two? Not so much.
That's on booking not him.

It was a great match minus Cena hardly selling anything and there was no reason for that bit with Kevin Owens. Yeah, zero point. It was almost comical because everyone knew Owens would be back, but then he got disposed of so quickly and easily.

Losing in a great match means jack and shit. Cesaro needs wins, not great performances.

it absolutely disgusted me that cole twice interrupted the match to randomly talk about the brock lesnar/car segment...the second time going so far as to go away from the match and show the stupid car sitting there causing them to almost miss an important part of the match. Just totally disrespectful to cena and cesaro and the effort they were putting out in the ring.

Cena goes through a grueling match which takes a super AA....only to pop up and immediately not only counter the pop up powerbomb but hit Owens with an AA. All the reason to despise Cena took place in that 10 second window. No matter how much it gets said though, others turn it into "people are mean and don't give Cena enough credit". It's nothing at all to do with that.

LOLCENAWINS again. I wouldn't mind if his matches were actually believable and he actually sold the damage. Vince wonders why fans are growing tired of his character and find him stale? Because he never really loses or shows vulnerbality.

Cena does the first one of these well. The other two? Not so much. Cena does all of those well. His matches have the crowd totally invested and popping on every near fall. He has been part of unpredictable finishes and almost all of his matches since the US challenge started has had good finishes.

Remember when the WWF touted that anything could happen? Why not throw out a title change here, and then Cesaro wrestles both Cena and Owens on the network show? It was a good match, no doubt, but it was also a lot of cut and paste from last week's match. If they did that then some people would complain about them giving away a title change on free television.
Seriously, this board is the last place with any higher ground when it comes to that. Every frickin time a Title actually changed on RAW it was the usual "why on free TV?!" repetitiveness.

If you looked away for 5 seconds, you would have missed Owens coming out at the end of that match.

I've generally enjoyed Cena as US champion. He's wrestling some of the best matches he's had in years, it's given Owens a killer feud for his main roster debut, has elevated the title, and even made Cesaro look like a star.
But Cena needs to lose that title at Battleground.

Yeah, that match was great but it was completely overshadowed by the fact that it's super obvious who's winning these matches. You can have a 5-star classic, but if the finish is as obvious as it is with John Cena matches, there's going to be a negative aspect to it.

Losing in a great match means jack and shit. Cesaro needs wins, not great performances. Cesaro got thirty minutes with a guy who's being openly regarded as the greatest of all time. Cena has a match against Owens at Battleground we all knew Cesaro wasn't going to win but just to have this opportunity could very well have put him on WWE's radar again. They could completely fumble, for sure but this definitely brings Cesaro back into relevance. I can't fathom people seeing this as a bad thing for Cesaro.

The fact that it was Cena Wins LOL doesn't even bother me that much, since we got a good match and a different freaking finish for the night.

I didn't even mind the main event But Cena being able to AA Owens like it's nothing after as match like that really pisses me off I'm just so tired of John Cena, SO. TIRED... Yeah no matter what, I'm tired of him. His matches are good, but I'd rather watch someone else have a good match, because for the last 7 years of my wrestling life, it has been nothing but Cena.
He's not even in the main event. What is it that makes him so tiring?
