Have some old-school sludge metal to start your Saturday.

Seen this band three times (twice with Angela, once with Alissa) and they kicked ass all three times, can't wait to see them open up for Nightwish at the end of the year.

Saw them a few times years ago touring with 36 Crazyfists. Always a great time.

For those who want an orchestra backing their metal.

And Iced Earth has been hit and miss since Jon Schaffer left in 2011. Uh, I think you mean Matt Barlow, not Jon Schaffer, as Jon basically is Iced Earth. Stu is fine, but there's something missing. Ugh! Yes, I botched that one. Thanks for the catch. Oh and this thread needs some Saint Vitus Such a groovy tune!

old school Katatonia. it's hard to believe that's what Jonas' vocals used to sound like, he has such a pretty singing voice.

Okay we've all heard of Sepultura but they were hardly the only Brazillian metal band.

One of my favorite things in my teenage years, Brujeria. Brujeria is awesome. They're coming out with a new record this year at some point. Looking forward to it. Anyways, here's one of my favorite tracks of theirs from my favorite Brujeria record, Raza Odiada: Speaking of records coming out this year, I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the new Magrudergrind album. If it's anything like their self-titled LP, it's going to be insane. Also, if you've never heard of the band, this was the opening track on that LP: Man, that scream at 1:08 makes me want to run through walls.
