Is anybody else having as much anxiety as I am trying to make the decision on whether to see Field of Honor or Takeover: Brooklyn?

I'd go for ROH. In my opinion, they have a better card and you'll be able to watch the NXT event right after (or anytime for that matter) the ROH show with the Network.

It's tough. I'm from Philly so I have the option of going to ROH the night before but the TV taping won't be nearly as good as the Brooklyn show should be

This whole thing feels to me like ROH vs. WWE's ROH set out to destroy the original ROH.

I generally use "go to the one with smaller pockets behind it" as a tiebreaker.

I'm doing ROH's Field of Honor. Along with the great card, the experience in MCU Field is really a unique one, with the absolute best view of the Coney Island fireworks which they time just right to showcase before the main event.
As cool as NXT Takeover might be, it's a stadium show the night before another stadium show and the roster are talented enough to where we're probably going to get many chances to see them live over the next few years. A lot of Field of Honor feels like an event where some of these matches will only happen once.
Plus, the crowd for last year's was great as it was at least 40% families who were casual wrestling fans and unfamiliar with the product, and getting the joy to see them explode after being exposed to ROH for the first time, as opposed to the pockets of jaded fans who seem to go to a lot of the Manhattan ROH shows.
It's a fun unique atmosphere with a once-in-a-lifetime card. Especially if you don't get to Coney Island all that often.

NXT will be available on the Network at any point. Definitely ROH.

Because right now, WWE's trying to do to ROH what it did to so many promotions back in the 80's. Run opposition, steal/pressure away talent, destroy competition. They're just doing it on a smaller scale now. ROH is good for wrestling.

If I was able to go to one live, I'd pick ROH for Okada, Nakamura, and Kushida. You can easily watch the NXT special when you get back or the next day.

One show has Dalton Castle. The other doesn't. That is really all you need to know to make the right decision.

I'm honestly not feeling the NXT card outside Liger and the Women's match. That with the uniqueness of Field of Honor would probably get me to ROH even without knowing that card.
That said, it is an awesome problem to have and one that I wish I could have.

If I were in your shoes, ROH. It'll probably wind up being the stronger card and you know that ROH is gonna pull out all the stops to have a great show with NXT in town.

I don't know the specifics about this. But if ROH is running a show in the same city on the same day, if NXT scheduled their show after it was already known ROH was running, that's pretty unnecessary of WWE to do to "the little guy," unless it is their goal to hurt them. Sure, business is business. But I think the word unnecessary is most applicable here.

Knowing when it was exactly scheduled they were going to use it for NXT is the difficult part... it was only announced recently though.
