Hakushi was the man. I agree about the theme, one of the best themes ever.

Love the review and pretty much agree with it. Although it's been a few years (really only a few as I saw the WE DVD Rumble collection) since I saw it, I remember pretty much feeling the same thing. The lack of big name stars etc, compare that to say 1992's Rumble or even 93 or 94's and it's shocking. I don't think it helped that some of the better talent (from a limited pool at the time) within the company were all in Undercard matches. Just imagine if they had put Taker/Bam Bam/Razor and Waltman in the Rumble. It would have been better than it was. One thing that took me out of all the Bulldogs Rumbles (not just this one) was when he's bench pressing a guy above his head, is why doesn't he drop him over the ropes, rather than back in the ring. It just makes him look like an idiot. And a question, which I don't know the awnser to, but did Pam Anderson and Lawrence Taylor draw enough publicity etc for the company to justify the Money, Vince would have showered on them to turn up ?

Well the buyrate was a bit better than last year, but overall it really didn't help that much.

No lie, Royal Rumble 95 was the first PPV I ever got my parents to buy for me (first one I saw as it happened was Summerslam 94). As I didn't know better at the time (having not started watching wrestling until mid 94) I liked that Rumble...but looking back, yeah, was rough.
That said, 12 going on to 13 year old me appreciated seeing Pam Anderson there, especially in the dress she wore during the Rumble match.
Also, hope you got used to that entryway set up at Rumble 95, because you'll be seeing that for most if not all the rest of your PPV run in this thing.

Its so funny how they must have taken specific shots of the crowd during each taping to set up green screen shots.

Just curious but what was the reason for having HBK on commentary rather than wrestle. Was he injured or something and was he any good at it ?

I think he only did commentary for that block of tapings, so its not like he was out of action. This set of tapings (Jan 23rd) was taped the night after the Royal Rumble. He was back in action at a house show on Jan 29th, so whether maybe he had a minor injury after the Rumble to be given the week off or something. He will have done the commentary in the studio during that week he had off.

I thought Bull Nakano was great at ringside in her role in the Lawler vs Bret match. It was random as hell but she was great

Also next week will be the "Season Finale" (taking a break for November at the very least) which will be Wrestlemania XI
