This board destroyed him as G-RILLA but as soon as he hit the scene Dancing this board loved Brodus Clay. If i am not mistaken didn't a poster even create the logo for him? It was mostly one guy endlessly harping on G-Rilla, and I think he jumped ship when WC made a new board. That is LITERALLY completely wrong. There were a good few people who recognized him as worthless. Than the Funk started and they exclaimed ''MY BAD''.

A flame haired superstar who appeared incompetent at first and attracted widespread derision on the internet, but through hard work and a change of attitude, became one of the brightest and most attractive prospects in WWE today. That's right, Heath Slater. I don't feel like HEAF ever sucked, though. He was pretty lame as a face on NXT. Other than that, he's always been good in WWE, though he has continued to improve.

Wade Barret to Bad News Barrett, the podium version, was awesome and getting.over, then he got injured and now is back to being bland barrett.

Titus O Neal made it a win (and started using tartar control Crest) he didn't really change his gimmick from NXT The Proto Years at all: still does the Gator Bark. Still has the same ring gear and body type. Just a lot LOT better at it and now finally has gold.

Also Sasha Banks was absolutely despised at first. Getting 'ratchet' chants then slowly getting louder and more vocal 'No She's Not!' chants as The Boss perfected her craft. Probably the modern-day Trish if ever there was one.

Face/tweener Miz to "The A-Lister" Miz. Even though I've enjoyed almost all Miz's work (excluding the Host of Smackdown crap) he's been absolute gold in his current role.

Let's be honest, even with the dancing gimmick Brodus was atrocious in the ring. A green as goose shit Brodus really was that bad in FCW. Yeah... I liked the Funkasaurus gimmick but that wasn't due to his ring work at all. To be fair, that's secondary to his mic work, which when he was given an opportunity, he was punching way above his weight... so to speak.

Husky Harris to Bray Wyatt Wyatt just went from awful to bad, not awful to awesome.

Original babyface Honky Tonk man was a total disaster.
Heel Honky Tonk man is still probably the best cowardly heel champion they've ever had.

In just mere months after WrestleMania 26, Cody Rhodes went from "the most generic wrestler on the planet" to "guy that can make any character work".

I didn't care too much for Umaga and Rusev when they started. Guys who had awful outdated gimmicks straight from the 80's and started off awkward and boring. But by God those two made there gimmicks work and those two shown more visible improvements every week then I have ever seen anyone else do. It's f***ing eerie on how Rusev literally became Umaga 2.0. 8 years later in every possible way. Yeah exactly. They both me made roll my eyes when they debuted and just beat up jobbers their first few weeks, but man did they make it work.

From evil dentist to professional Kevin Nash impersonator to one of the most popular characters of all time, being a fixture on the roster 17 years later.
I'm as guilty as anyone for harping on Kane but he definitely fits this.
Actually, Mean Mark to Undertaker probably could as well.

Tyson Kidd is the poster child of this. Dude was bland as hell for years... he takes a trip to NXT and gets his "Teddy Hart" gimmick and knocks it out of the f***ing park. With Kidd, it's more "he finally got a chance to actually do something" rather than "he used to be awful and now he's good". I remember when the Hart Dynasty got their tag push, they went on commentary and all three members had zero confidence and personality. Micheal Cole was doing his heel character at the time and ripped into them for being boring and non verbal. Their response was more silence. It's pretty likely its nxt (along with a bit of TV experience with total divas) that delevoped his personality.

CM Punk as straight edge preacher was awful until he put on the new Nexus colors and became awesome. Totally agree, I found the whole straight edge society thing to be incredibly boring.

Leif Cassidy to Al Snow.
Always good in the ring but doing nothing when Marty vanished and had no gimmick at all then became the crazy hardcore loving Al Snow.

NXTs divas: Paige went from Ivelisse and Raquel's cannon fodder to a face version of Sweet Saraya Sasha went from nothing face to The Boss Becky went from freaking tap dancing to Lady Steampunk Charlotte went from "only here because she's Flair Jr" Episode III, to "Awesome wrestler who happens to be Flair's daughter" Emma went from implied party drug user to "it's so stupid it works" dancing gimmick, to actually motive driven heel sadly chained to freaking Dana.

R Truth was all kinds of horrible until his heel turn, becoming arguably my favourite comedy heel of all time. And then boomeranged back to the being one of the all-round worst guys on the roster. What an absolute waste. I like goofy babyface R-Truth. It's a lot better than R-Truth whose gimmick was just that of him rapping before his matches.
