The fact Ali dumped Daniel in the sequel backs all this up. He probably slapped her.

During the Halloween beatdown, Johnny actually does say "you couldn't leave well enough alone, could you?"
Really he was right. Daniel couldn't.

Ali was pretty rude. Johnny wanted to talk to her, so she switches on a radio. At least hear him out.
He did say just a few minutes earlier that he was going to work hard and study this year in school.
Maybe he had changed?

I take the same viewpoint as that episode of Community that explained that the true story of Karate Kid isn't about Daniel and Johnny's little dick measuring contest, but that of an old man finally coming to grips with his tragic past.
This man, Mr. Miyagi was not only forced to fight against his fellow countrymen in WW2, but also lost his wife and son shortly after the conflict.
Not only that but as we learned in part 2 he also carries the burden of fleeing his ancestral home land because he didn't want fight his best friend in a blood duel which happened to be: Surprise! Over a lady that wasn't really his.
Because of this for years he lived a life of quiet desolation and solitude. Sure he had his garage of vintage cars and smashing bonsai garden, but material goods can never truly fill the void left by a lack of familial love.
Which is why Miyagi sees a lot of himself in Daniel, he carries the same stubbornness and desolation that he himself had clung to all of his adult life.
Basically Miyagi got a second chance to be a father, and live the life he always wanted.

Paulie was the main antagonist in all of the Rocky movies. I agree completely with this. Especially in Rocky V

People nowadays just can't let a movie be a movie, can they? Not when people are falsely accusing Johnny of being the villain. The true villain of the first one was Kreese. He's the one that taught his students to have no compassion, no mercy, told Bobby to take out Daniel, and told Johnny to go after the injured leg.

Really the true villain was Mr Terry Silver, CEO of DynaTOX Industries and Cobra Kai Dojos Incorporated.

Cant forget that Johnny also stood up to Kreese after the fight and took the loss like a man saying he did his best and didn't make any excuses
