So I was talking to my sister tonight. She was talking about letting her 7 year old son watch wrestling. She said she wasn't sure because she thought it was still all tits and ass and Attitude Era. I told her that it was now more suited for kids as well as adults and most of that stuff was long gone. That put her mind at ease.
So this seven year old has no knowledge of wrestling. None. I'm going to give her some ideas on what video clips to show him to see if he'd like it, and if it's something she wants him to watch in the first place.
Any ideas?

Just go with the most recent stuff man. If you show him anything older than a few years old when he starts watching the current stuff it won't make sense. My friends' kids have been falling out with WWE lately because, "nothing makes sense" according to them, but most of them are 10-12 years old so they may be aging out of it.
I'd start with something light, off WWE's youtube channel then if they take to it, show them the shorter version of RAW they play on Hulu before going for the full 3 hours.

Saturday Morning Slam.
Really, you don't have to introduce them to anything. It's larger than life dudes slamming each other and making funny faces. It really sells itself to the youngins. Trust me, I have 3 nephews ranging from 18 to 4 in age, all of whom are huge WWE fans.

I think my first match was a random Shamrock / Mankind one on Raw, dig that up.
Seriously though, I'd go with something that's not that atypical but is something special and instantly memorable, and is plenty accessible without a story. Something like Michaels / Taker or Michaels / Angle would be good for that I think; wouldn't go with something like Foley / Taker despite how memorable it is it's not exactly the norm for wrestling.

Don't let them go online to talk about wrestling and try not tear down wrestlers they might gravitate to even if you hate them.

Apparently kids like this one guy ("Superstar") named John Cena. He wears many bright friendly colors, is a friend and hero to every child in need, and fights with the morals that all upstanding citizens should abide by. Introduce this man, and you have a fan for life.

Introduce this man, and you have a fan for life. Don't give him any ideas. Show him the era with stars like 1-2-3 Kid, Tatanka, Doink The Clown, Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Shawn Michaels, Lex Lugar and everything involving the 93-96 version of WWF. Nothing wrong with starting off during that time period.

Just plunk him down in front of it. Boys love fighting, it won't take encouragement.

My earliest wrestling memory was Mankind's fall off the cell at a sleepover in first grade on VCR. Also, Sable's handprint look.
Maybe not those.

That segment a few months back where two middle aged women danced badly and hit each other on the ass with wine bottles. Kids love that shit.

Just let him watch Raw or SD or NXT or any wrestling show with you and something clicked. Maybe something that is more wrestling orientated like a SD or NXT. Like some of my earliest childhood memories was seeing clips of wrestling on TV since my dad used to casually watch it and I was always intrigued by it but what got me hooked into becoming a big wrestling fan was randomly switching the channels one day and seeing a random triple threat match between HHH/Mankind/The Undertaker when I was 7 years old. I thought The Undertaker was the coolest thing ever and I got hooked.

Finn Balor vs. Tyler Breeze from a couple Takeovers ago. Two living cartoon characters who then have a great match. I'd have loved it at 7.

This. Mostly because it'd be easier to get a kid to keep attention for one hour than three.
