Question {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Cottonmouth got his hands on Chitauri based weapons developed from Hammer Industries. But wasn't Hammer shut down when he got arrested at the end of IM2? {Spoiler}Either Hammer's company is still being run without Justin Hammer in charge, or he just got it from the black market.

Them finding a way to have him in the tiara briefly was great. Even better was the way they integrated his full classic Power Man costume for a moment.

Just finished the season. Really enjoyed it. That slow pace of the first couple episodes before shit got real was awesome, man. When things picked up, it was fun.
No major complaints from me. I definitely enjoyed the heck out of it and I'm looking forward to the future of these shows.
Also, the musical guests were on point, man. Loved seeing Rafael Siddiq and Jidenna get some love. Method Man also showed that he's still got it. Good stuff.

Into Episode Three so far and it's meeting the hype and then some. Colter is an awesome leading man, Cook is crushing it as Misty and Mahershala Ali as Stokes is just beastly.

{Spoiler}Misty & Claire's interactions in the interrogation room might have been the most intense moment of the season (or through 11 episodes in my case). Wow

Finished the season. I'd rank the shows: - Jessica Jones
- Daredevil S1
- Luke Cage
- Daredevil S2
Spoiler explanation: {Spoiler}Cottonmouth was a fantastic character played by a fantastic actor. I really wanted them to go down the "Luke is forced to work for Stokes" route. Instead, we have Mariah kill Cottonmouth, so that Diamondback can chew the scenery and overall be a disappointing villain. Even Shades got pretty lame by the end, though I'm happy he survived for future use.
In short: loved the first half, didn't like the second half.

In short: loved the first half, didn't like the second half. My thoughts exactly. {Spoiler}It definitely lost alot of steam when they brought in Diamondback, he just wasn't anywhere near as interesting as Stokes or Mariah.
And, despite what I said earlier, by the last couple episodes they do start to beat you over the head with the social issues stuff. It's as if they suddenly lost confidence in the audience to understand the subtext.

{Spoiler}Maybe Claire gets Misty and Colleen Wing (she's teased by way of a sign at the end of this) to help the Defenders.

I just knew there would be people going "OMG,SOCIAL JUSTICE" or "OMG,RACISM". So i just avoided internet on this. Pretty good, even the social commentary is made very tasteful, and you can see that the characters have different views,Luke Cage was a great protagonist ,probably my favourite. {Spoiler} While Diamondback was not as good as the previous villain of the series, he was still pretty good as the insane crimelord and a good contrast ,while one was all business the other one was all personal.
And the twist of Stokes diying by Maria was well done, i didnt see it coming but still made sense. And Shades is a cool villain, definetely stole the show by the end.
I also like that Luke Cage didnt "win" everything at the end, there is still a lot of room to what can happen having the corrupt Politician and Shades in the game.

{Spoiler}Plus, the ending works as a way to set up The Defenders even more, which I suppose was the point.

{Spoiler} I really enjoyed the presentation of the loss of power. How someone could go from pure strength and a strong 'word' to a raving lunatic grasping at once was.
Cottonmouth's descent through the first 7 episodes was great storytelling. Sitting like a king on his throne calling celebrations for collaborations that haven't been settled yet, to sending out his legion to bring forth those who damaged his word, to lashing out and making mistakes to sate his ego, out thought and embarrassed, humbled but refusing to take the lesson, turning on his own minions abusing them for his own reminder of power, losing respect from everyone from his supplier to his paid-off underlings, to trying to find power the one place he always has by talking down his cousin and raising himself up as treated poorly and her handed everything...yeah. Mahershala Ali was fantastic in the role.
And in a lesser degree, there was Diamondback. A mysterious figure only mentioned in whispers and side comments but always with respect or fear...yet when he arrives, there is the reminder that we are only people and people are flawed and easily distracted by vendettas. What was once a feared supplier of death became a bastard brother bemoaning his mama's treatment. Human. And in the end, even with enhancements, that's what beat him. His humanity and desire to humiliate instead of just do what needs done to win.

I didn't like it as much as JJ or DD but still liked it quite a bit overall.
Found the finale pretty cheesy and cliche though.

Only a few episodes in and no one on the show can properly pronounce dude's name. I've heard Lu Cage and Luke Age.

i loved it, for me it was way better then Jessica Jones, and didn't have the annoying characters (Karen Page) like Daredevil did. although i do think Marvel tv could do with doing 11 maybe 12 episodes instead of 13

one thing i noticed. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} still no stark/avengers tower in the sky line, even for a brief shot.
If its a shared universe why not show it? i know it must cost alot to show, but you've put it in there now, and for all the talk of "the incident" or "the big green dude!" just showing that tower would go a hell of a long way to show how integrated it actually is!

I bet they probably didn't even think of it, but, i agree it would've been nice to have that attention to detail. I feel like at least the defenders is gonna need some of the "a team" spit shine. I feel at this point, between Purple Man, A bunch of ninjas in hell's kitchen, and rumors of an unbreakable man having a one man war on drugs in harlem, something should've gotten SHIELD's attention. Maybe the black Market Hammer tech will get Tony's curiosity or something

They've squeezed as much as they can out of every penny, so CGing a shot of Stark Tower is probably deemed a frivolous expense.
