Just a few episodes in and with the violence in DD, the post sexual abuse PSTD in JJ and use of the n word in LC it's clear Marvel are making the most of the freedom of expression on tv as opposed to restrictions on their movie universe.

one thing i noticed. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} still no stark/avengers tower in the sky line, even for a brief shot.
If its a shared universe why not show it? i know it must cost alot to show, but you've put it in there now, and for all the talk of "the incident" or "the big green dude!" just showing that tower would go a hell of a long way to show how integrated it actually is! I was telling my brother this, just last night. I used the term MNU(Marvel Netflix Universe)and he tried to correct me. I told him that they mention the movies like they don't have the legal right to do so. Frankly, I don't mind the way they mention the movies.

I bet they probably didn't even think of it, but, i agree it would've been nice to have that attention to detail. I feel like at least the defenders is gonna need some of the "a team" spit shine. I feel at this point, between Purple Man, A bunch of ninjas in hell's kitchen, and rumors of an unbreakable man having a one man war on drugs in harlem, something should've gotten SHIELD's attention. Maybe the black Market Hammer tech will get Tony's curiosity or something I wonder if the show will be similar to Justice League/JLU in that each episode will focus on one or two characters with the whole team working together at the end of the season. By doing it that way, each character can get the shine they deserve while also giving each of their villains top billing for certain episodes.

Anyways I rank them -Daredevil -Jessica Jones -Luke Cage -Daredevil season 2 Honesly,I could easily shuffle the top 3. Daredevil Season 2 is defnitely the weakest one. and I like Cage much more than Murdock as a hero. But damn Fisk was such a GOOD villain.I dont think I can rank the 3 and not change mind later but I will go.. Jessica Jones Luke Cage Daredevil Daredevil Season 2

i loved it, for me it was way better then Jessica Jones, and didn't have the annoying characters (Karen Page) like Daredevil did. although i do think Marvel tv could do with doing 11 maybe 12 episodes instead of 13 I actually agree. I really liked Luke Cage, but I think it could have benefited by being exactly one episode shorter.

I'm about three episodes from being done. While I still really like it, I will say when they take the focus on Luke for huge stretches of time it drags; particularly since Cottonmouth was the only really compelling villain.

Finished this last night, a great new season of the Marvel Netflix Universe. Already knew Mike Colter was superb from Jessica Jones and he brought that shine and then some into this series. Cottonmouth was good at times, but I don't get people knocking Diamondback back to build him up. His actor was good at times, but he overhammed it a bit at others. I think Diamondback was a better villain because he was more collected while having subtle signs of Cage getting to him whereas Cottonmouth fell apart. The fight at the end I thought was good, though it could have used a few more minutes. Claire really got a chance to come into her own this time around. Misty overall was good too, though there were times where she was off like assaulting Claire in the eleventh episode. Favorite character (aside Cage) was Pop, sucked that he was killed off so soon. Hope to see more of Shades in the next season because he was better than both other villains combined.
What I really like is that this show doesn't beat you head over any real life issue, at no point do they ever make it about race not even when the BLM allegory starts. This show is a case study in how you handle social issues on TV.

I loved this series. Maybe not as much as Jessica Jones, but it had its own charm. I loved the scene {Spoiler}{Spoiler} with Method Man in the convenience store

Finished watching it this evening. Another great bit of work by Marvel's Netflix team, though I liked it less than DD and JJ.

one thing that is still troubling me. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} why did Shades and Black Mariah kiss at the end? that (for me anyway) sort of came out of nowhere, yes he was manipulating/coercing her to become more like her Mama Mable. I never got the sense he was coming on to her, just molding her into what she needed to be. i thought the kiss scene at the end was very needless.

Huh? {Spoiler}Shades was pretty tender with Mariah ever since she killed Cottonmouth and she was shooting **** Me eyes at him even then.
Hell, I thought they were going to sex each other up over Cottonmouth's corpse.

I loved the scene {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} with Method Man in the convenience store And the Biggie painting, Wu-Tang songs being played, and Ghostface Killah made a cameo in Iron Man is kind of surreal. But if Wu-Tang exists in the MCU then that means Ghostface Killah exists and so does his 1996 Album Ironman and all of his other references too Tony Stark and Iron Man long before Tony Stark becomes Iron Man. I'm so confused.

Finished it sat night. Liked it a lot. My only complaints was it was slow to get going. The first two episodes dragged. And there was too much focus on other characters. I mean there was nearly an entire episode focused on Detective Misty .. I thought why do they keep going back to that interagation room.. go back to the Luke Cage scenes .. it's his name in the title. Minor silly thing.. there is a couple of references to Obama. Now the MCU have their own fictional politicians including the U.S President (played by William Sadler in Iron Man 3 and three episodes of Agents Of Shield) .. so who is this Obama guy they keep mentioning?

If they get Deadpool's film rights back, they gotta do a fight scene between him and Cage

I loved the first half of this show. The whole gangland politics with Luke Cage stuck in the middle made for a really unique Marvel experience. Then the show kind of fell off a cliff for me when Diamondback appeared. Which I hate to admit because I loved the actor on Boardwalk Empire. But it just became so goofy and over the top, which was too much of a contrast to what the show had been leading up to that point (Cottonmouth's random bazooka, notwithstanding). On top of that the whole "Luke, I'm your brother" thing really felt tacked on. I know they'll probably use it to give DB Luke Cage powers, but it felt so forced considering I felt there was more than enough to their history without that extra point. It seems like a desperate attempt to add depth to the character, instead of looking at what they had and asking themselves if it really added to their story.
Despite my criticisms, I did like it as a whole. But I'd put it below Jessica Jones, and Daredevil Season 1. Although if we were only ranking the first 6 or so episodes, I'd put it up there with them.
