It's never really existed. If you're getting a reaction, no matter the rationale, it can only be seen as a positive in the eyes of promoters and such. I disagree. I doubt people changing the channel when someone comes on is what the promoters see as good heat. Which in itself has nothing to do with the live audience reactions.

Also, can threads stop acting like FAN is a borg and we all have collective thoughts and feel the exact same way about stuff? I never said the original statement in my entire life. If you want a discussion, cool, but don't bring out Mr. Strawman from the OP. 'You hear that? They're chanting "We want workrate".'

Lots of guys labelling someone with xpac heat also try to ignore the heat that someone gets when they just don't like him/her Is a term that really nobody gets, for me the real "troublesome" heat is the conway pop. that's when you must be really worried since silence makes some awkaward segments that you don't want to watch at all On the other hand, I think too much stock is put into entrance reactions sometimes. For example, New Day often gets no reaction when their music hits, or a confused one. But once the match gets going they have the crowd. Tyson Kidd and Daniel Bryan used to fall into this category, in a different way where their theme and entrance were nondescript but kicked ass in the ring. Some people just don't have good entrances, or a have a character that invokes an immediate reaction upon hearing their music. I feel the same about chants. Ryback is pretty iffy on how over he is, but people will always chant FEED ME MORE when prompted. If the crowd isn't reacting much outside of when they're specifically directed to, you're not that over.

Also some people don't have X-Pac heat, nor Conway pop
if a heel gets no reaction it is just that...no reaction. Saw some people misuse these terms to that.

I don't believe that X-Pac heat exists.
They're either making noise for you or they're not.

Antiquated as they are, ratings breakdowns are really the best way to judge whether someone is working out or not.
Who gets more X-Pac heat in the WWE than John Cena? Yet his segments generally don't lose viewers. While at one point Zack Ryder was once one of the most over (if not the most over outright) guy on the roster, yet peopled tuned out of his segments in droves.
Now, there are other variables at play there too - quality of the segment itself, placing on the show, etc. - but it illustrates that live reactions aren't the whole picture.

Lots of guys labelling someone with xpac heat also try to ignore the heat that someone gets when they just don't like him/her This is another part of it- there has been a lot of cases when genuinely good performers who are clearly getting actual heel heat end up painted with the "It's clearly all X-Pac Heat because I personally dislike this performer's work, so by definition everyone else in the arena must hate this performer's work too. They can't be booing them because they're a talented heel, because it should be apparent to anyone who's smart enough to agree with me that they suck!"
