RAW is live from Laredo, Texas (no chance in hell Laredo will be mentioned on the show, Vince is always embarassed to be in towns like this), and coming out of Night of Champions, we have three new champions.
Seth Rollins is one title lighter than he was coming into Houston, as John Cena relieved him of the United States Championship, but he is still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, as he defeated Sting in the main event. After the win, Sheamus attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank Briefcase, only for the DEMON KANE to return, chokeslamming both Rollins and Sheamus, and giving Rollins the Tombstone Piledriver. It looks like Rollins now has a Big Red Monster to deal with heading into Hell in a Cell in Los Angeles on October 25th.
One match that's official for Hell in a Cell is the big rematch between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker, which will take place inside the massive structure, and looks to be the blowoff to their rivalry. Before then, Lesnar has The Big Show to prepare for on October 3rd at Madison Square Garden, so will we see the Beast Incarnate tonight... or indeed The Undertaker?
As John Cena is once again the United States Champion, it looks like the John Cena US Title Open Challenge will return to RAW. Who will step up to challenge The Champ this time around, and will it lead to anything at Hell in a Cell?
The 301 days of terror (so some say) are over. Nikki Bella's record breaking Divas Championship run was ended last night by Charlotte, who submitted Nikki with the Figure 8. Will Nikki insist in a rematch, and is there anything to the way that Paige has acted around Charlotte lately? And will any of Team BAD get involved now that there's a new champion?
The other new champion is Kevin Owens, who bested the Big Guy Ryback to win the Intercontinental Championship. But with Owens winning with a sly rake to the eyes, we presume Ryback is still very much in Owens' way, and is looking for his title back.
Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns' mystery partner (not the bald dude who randomly appeared in the ring) was Chris Jericho, and things didn't go to well for them against the Wyatt Family, as Jericho blind tagged Reigns, and proceeded to be put to sleep by the monsterous Braun Strowman. After the match, Jericho barged past Ambrose and Reigns, so there looks to be more problems than just the Wyatts ahead for the former Shield members.
Things remain complicated between Dolph Ziggler, Rusev and Summer Rae (and Lana at home with her broken wrist). "Hot Submissive Summer" was ejected from the match, only to throw her shoe at the referee, and accidentally hit Ru-Ru, leading to Ziggler getting the win. Afterwards, Ziggler kissed Summer's hand. What's next in this soap opera?
All this and some other stuff that wasn't touched on at the PPV, tonight from 8/7c on USA, and right afterwards, switch over to the WWE Network, where JBL will sit down with former RAW GM Eric Bischoff for a chat!
