I really hope that people are coming around on Jason Jordan, because he and Gable are money together.
I know that Gable is good enough that he'll shine as a singles guy too, but Jordan's holding up his end of the deal.
They just need some better theme music now.

Just go full bore and give them a re-mix of Angles theme.

Sasha reportedly gave her flowers to Izzy. I see no way Sasha isn't a face by Survivor Series. She is too loved and sweet, even when she heels on people. Sounds weird to say but it is like Eddie Guerrero funny enough. Yeah she doesn't have the decades put in but she got that respect fast.

All I wanna know is, who here DOESN'T cry at the end of these women's matches? Good god. So many onions.

Oh yeah, she played it up tonight and was great but you could still sense the crowd wanting to cheer at times. I think had she not picked on Izzy there would have been dual chants. On the main roster, shit, she's getting love in matches she isn't even in and they are making that a focal point now so I just cannot see keeping her heel.

Watching the Dana/Asuka match again, I love the whole part of Dana just refusing to learn her lesson no matter how much Asuka kicks her ass.
Dana just keeps trying to get in Asuka's face and acting like a complete brat about the whole thing even though she keeps getting smacked down for it.
Meanwhile, Emma takes one elbow to the face, and instantly falls into line.

So, does anyone know when the show will be available on demand? Because they have the pre-show up, but trying to start Takeover at the beginning tells me to wait for the first airing to conclude, which of course was hours ago.

Got back from night class and watched right away. Here's the stuff I wrote down while I was watching, excuse the sloppiness (and wow this ended up being a lot longer than I thought it would be). Gonna spoiler tag it since it's a lot. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}-Raw being so bad makes these shows so much better honestly. I find myself being excited just thinking "WOW, competent wrestling! Simple camera work! No storylines about workplace politics seemingly inspired by The Phantom Menace!" -Motivated Samoa Joe = yes. So happy he's doing well in NXT. -Fun opener, and SELLING. Another basic thing but it's so important (glares furiously at John Cena) -So the Tye Dillenger perfect ten gimmick...he just says ten a lot? Am I missing something? -Holy SHIT at Gable chants to Kurt Angle's music! Wonderful! -Raw's on my mind a lot tonight. On Raw, no one matters. On NXT, everyone matters (well, except for maybe the tree guy who quit) -"SAVE THE GABLE" How can you hate the NXT crowd? Well...okay opinions and all. -I haven't had the highest expectations for the tag matches but wow this is just straight up FUN. -WHAT at Corbin and Rhyno. No. Gable and Jordan deserved it. NOOO. The finalists of the tag tournament are the slapped together teams?! NXT please. Rematch at London Takeover? - I know it wouldn't make sense but I'd rather Dana and Emma came out to Emma's music if only for the choreography -I love Emma's tiny heel gloves -Asuka is f**king awesome wow. -Ew at Michael Cole Jr. saying "She calls this the Asuka Lock!" -Great debut, felt like a huge match instead of "It's this guy! Check out his cool 5 moves!' -Tyler needs the win here more I feel like -Alright they need to do something new with Breeze other than JTTS -Itami appearance after Breeze/Crews. I'm wondering who they're gonna reveal as the one who injured him? I almost feel like it'll be a jealous WWE guy -So weird that Undertaker's gong is ending all the WM32 promos. Time. For. New. Stars. -Also getting rid of the numbers for Wrestlemania is still really stupid -I know the match will probably impress but I'm still pissed Gable and Jordan lost. Again it seems dumb to end a tag tournament with two makeshift teams -Weekly reminder that Samoa Joe's music is great -Honestly though instead of this injury angle I'd rather they do a courtroom drama or perhaps an office political situation. There's a bit too much wrestling here yeah? We need someone to sue someone else and some authority figures to talk a lot more. Yeahhhh -This tournament has been going on for so loooongggg -"Whoever wins this tournament.............................................has to win two matches." Bravo Cole Jr. -This is a lot slower, understandably...but man if Gable and Jordan made it... -So the options here are Balor turns heel, Joe turns heel (most obvious), or they just keep slow burning this. Knowing how NXT works I'm thinking slow burn -They better not use this injury as an excuse to take Balor off NXT for the next month Sami Zayn style. -It may sound like I'm complaining a lot but I am really enjoying the show -Oh wow Balor and Joe won. Did not see that coming. Slow burn correct! -How long's it gonna take for the trophy to get destroyed? -Powerful silence as Cody talks. Incredible promo too. -"You're all Rhodes." I'm glad I'm alone because tears -So tired of these "the next month on WWE Network" promos -Brock Lesnar's Papyrus Font Tour -"The architects of the Diva's Revolution, including Stephanie McMahon." F**k you. F**k you and the cracker you rode in on. -At this point I switched TV's and WWE Network thought I was watching the MSG special instead of this. Way to go WWE Network. -How incredible is it that this is the main event?! NXT is so great. -I don't know if this is a controversial opinion, but I hope they don't hug it out after this match. -Bayley is the face-iest face that ever faced. She's so far on the good alignment scale and somehow makes it not cheesy. -Silence during the entrances makes this feel that much more legit. -Holy shit, is the ring announcer an alternate dimension Jeremy Borash that somehow ended up in NXT instead of staying in TNA? -Only the tenth Iron Man match? -Izzy crying. No. YOU MONSTERS -Wow, like all of my MOTY candidates are NXT women's matches with Sasha Banks in them. I seriously can't think of any matches better than hers at Takeovers this year. I'm drawing a blank. -Thank you for no "wait 30 seconds after every fall" rule -This is breezing by...is this the longest women's match in WWE history? -Would they do a draw? Would that be satisfying enough? -ABSOLUTELY INTENSE ENDING WOW I AM SHAKING -I can't think of a single match on main WWE that was even close to that good this year. -Wrestling overall might not be in a good place but we still have this. Moments like this, ahhh crying -"You deserve it." Indeed. -I'm sitting here feeling cathartic. I've missed this feeling watching wrestling.

Mine works now, but a way round it is if you go to the schedule, go back to the last airing (which is just finishing i believe) and use the 'Watch from beginning' option should work.

That match wasn't as good as TakeOver: Brooklyn, but it didn't need to be. The raw emotion in Sasha and Bayley's matches is what makes them so incredible to watch. Sasha's heel work was amazing, like always. Stealing Izzy's headband was great. The psychology was also done perfectly. The action on the outside with the steel steps had me on the edge of my seat and you couldn't have asked for a better ending. Every superstar coming out to congratulate them on a fantastic match, and what appears to be Sasha's last in NXT.
Fantastic stuff like always, and if these two face off again, you won't have any complaints from me.

So I watched this with half a dozen fellow figures from the Montreal wrestling scene. Vets, people that have been at this almost 20 years, all of us. We were entertained. I'm usually really moderate in my evaluation of wrestling, I mean people try, sometimes they have shitty booking, sometimes bookers deal with shitty talent... there's always a reason. My buddies shit on a lot of wrestling though, and sometimes it's pretty thorough and pretty vicious. I guess I'm the good cop in a gang of bad cops.
But tonight, we're all united in NEAR total praise.
We all agree, we wished we had the Mechanics VS Shoot Club or whatever they call them finale. That's the match we want to see in the future. The Mechanics scored big points with me. But other than that, BIG PROPS TO ALL INVOLVED.
That Gable rolling+bridging german suplex was AMAZING. Props to Corbin who wasn't so bad in making it flow although we could tell Gable worked like a f***er to do it right. Corbin gives me vibes of Mike Awesome, only a lot less f***ing awesome and ZERO high flying.
I was weirdly... aroused by the whole Asuka femdom deal. Yeah, look the other way Emma, you little thieving bitch!
I hope Breeze gets something out of the work he puts in, would be criminal if "losing to the guy that we wanted to push & Lyger" was the height of his career. He's a big league wrestler.
And then the girls.
Sasha Banks is the greatest wrestler in the world. If she'd be a man, you wouldn't even question that. She has no weaknesses. That heel work with that little girl was worthy of the lowest piece of shit heel work I've seen in my life. Her work is stellar, the little details are all there, the selling is consistent with the action and durable in time, the bumping, MAAANNN, she'll be sore later in life but that's how it's done, great back bumps. The stomping of the hand during the submission hold....
But she's leaving when Asuka is coming in? WHY?!?!?
I would do this:
Asuka goes through the NXT women's roster. Like, THOROUGHLY and in a brutal fashion. And this all ends with an NXT's women's title match VS Bayley. Asuka not only wins but injures Bayley and we don't see her for a while. William Regal realises that Asuka is completely mental and pretty much invincible. So they bring somebody from outside the company to face her. Make it somebody people know. Lita? Asuka beats the outsider who does the stretcher job.
Meanwhile on the main roster, somehow, Sasha has won the Diva's championship then scrapped the butterfly to replace it with something more "her" and she's calling herself the Women's World Champion.
Back in NXT, Asuka does something reprehensible. Bring in Wendi Richter to acknowledge the first woman to main event on national TV, which she was, and Asuka hurts her. Regal throws his hands up, Triple H comes in, books Sasha VS Asuka for WrestleMania to unify the women's titles and makes it clear that he thinks Sasha has it in her to beat Asuka.
At Mania, Sasha loses in a somewhat bullshit way. Asuka is lying on the mat staring back at Sasha leaving on her two legs, which in this scenario is an accomplishment, smiling.
Women's wrestling is now exclusive to NXT.
Non-Title Rematch. Rubber Title Rematch. Big shows only.
Sasha wins the rubber match, and everybody's happy.

It's not just the crowd, the entire package feels overly contrived. The manufactured "moments" don't do it for me either. What seems organic probably took 6 months to plan. It's hard to watch because you can tell what their influences are. It may go over younger fans heads, but Appollo "creed""terry" Crews etc... Isn't getting past someone in their 30s. The product isn't crap, it's just not organic enough for me. Maybe it's just the old man " u kids get off my lawn" in me. I bet I'm one of the oldest guys here so I don't think it's age or experience. I've been following wrestling for five decades and I've seen the evolution. No, there isn't someone prompting the crowds. This is a smarky crowd. The problem is that the crowd works to get itself over. I absolutely hate that aspect of the show. I wish it wasn't an issue but fans pay their money and can do what they want. It is true, it's not 100 percent organic. NXT is a lab setting. They're practicing things to see what works and what doesn't. And that's not just the wrestlers practicing but the entire production crew, too. It's pretty amazing that the show is as polished as it is, considering that in its current form, it really only has been around about 2 years. While I respect your opinion, I have to disagree by saying that the quality of the product blows me away and keeps me coming back. NXT is the highlight of my wrestling week (except for hanging around here with you guys) and I look forward more to Takeover events than I do main roster PPVs.

Outstanding. An absolute wonderful main event.
I don't want to compare it to the Brooklyn match, because they are completely different entities and belong side by side as equals.
What these ladies have and continue to do, holy s**t, that's the only way I can summarise it.

One thing, Sasha audibly submit? Like scream yes or something? The one thing that kinda bugs me is that the ref seemed to go on her nodding when that seemed to be because of the head kicks. With about 5 seconds left on the clock, she starts yelling "I GIVE UP!" repeatedly until the ref motions for the bell. Posting the video so it's easier to review:
