Which midcarders from the 2007-2015 era do you think will get a run with the WWE championship (or WHC if they bring it back) late in their careers after being in mid card hell for most of their careers? Recent examples of this include Kane in 2010, Mark Henry in 2011, Big Show in 2012, etc.
I can see Cody Rhodes and Ryback getting transitional runs. It would be really strange if these two don't get the belt atleast once in their careers.
Miz should get another run too.

Miz should never hold the title again.

I honestly hope Kofi finally gets his shot.
Maybe he'll finally win a MoTB now that the New Day is going like gangbusters.

Cody should be a legit top guy on the same level as Reigns and Ambrose. It still irks me that he's not.

Cody and Kofi are the only 2 from 2007-2010.

Kofi is not good at all. No. His legacy should be getting eliminated from the Rumble in unique ways.
Cody would be great.

Cody will win it 100% if he stays healthy
Ziggler might get one more shot
Big E has a good chance
Cesaro's chances are dwindling, but they still exist
Don't see it for Ryback, Alberto, Kofi or Miz

Probably none of them.
Cody, Ziggler and Barrett should all be main eventers.

For the lowest level name who has a chance at a "thank you" run, it seems like Zack Ryder checks all the buttons: He's an 8 year veteran, and 10+ year veterans usually get thank you runs, he's usually been massively over on the roster (with 2011 as the big peak)...maybe it won't be a World Title run, but it wouldn't shock me if he eventually gets another US or IC title reign for his "thank you" run.

That's the beauty of having just one world title. They don't have to feel guilty into just giving it to just anyone. Each world title got some sore spots in it during the split because since having two, they'd give one to someone who wasn't ready/didn't really deserve it.

Kane, Show, and Henry all got their "thank you" runs with the Smackdown/secondary/non-Cena world title, so it's not likely that any of those would've happened without that being an option.
Given the way the company seems to value them, I just don't see Cody, Kofi, Dolph, Cesaro or anyone else stuck in that same sort of spot getting a run like that without a brand split. Even with one it might be a stretch for some of them. They weren't with them when they were going up against WCW the way Kane, Show, and Henry were, so I don't get the sense that WWE would feel they owe it to them for being loyal. If anything, it almost comes across like they think that those guys that can't seem to advance up the card should be grateful that they've even kept them employed for this long considering the quality wrestling options in the U.S. outside of WWE are so limited. There's no true competition for these guys to jump to, so they won't get the same loyal reputation and advantage that those who were with them through the Attitude Era seem to get.

Cody will win it 100% if he stays healthy Four years ago, I'd have agreed with you. But they had a moment in time where Cody was one of the hottest acts in the company, and they used that to make him the lead of the tag division. I'm worried they've already given up on him.

Iirc he's only 29, plenty of time left, he'll get at least some kind of "thank you run"

I still think Goldust doing something based on The Wrestler would be awesome and it should end with a run. But I get the feeling that Dustin wants to leave the place to Cody. He's had a hell of a run. First ballot HOFer.

With only one world title these days, I have no interest in seeing "thank you" runs. I would like to think that if Cesaro, Ziggler, Cody and their ilk get the title, it's because they have been pushed for the title at that time.

Nobody deserves one.
Although I do see Big E getting the title for whatever reason.
