There's been a bit of a turnaround, online, with regards to Reigns. Some are starting to think, or admit that Roman is pretty good in the ring, or at the least has had a run of good PPV matches in 2015. I don't want to go mad and start hailing Reigns as the future and the best, but I really think the guy has come on leaps and bounds. Of course (well in my opinion), Rollins is the superior in-ring performer of the former Shield trio. However, I think the second best in-ring wrestler of the three is not Ambrose, but Reigns. I don't like a lot of Dean's moves all that much and I think Roman has had better matches in 2015. I admit that stupid fist pump thing Roman does looks a little silly, but otherwise I think he's a solid, hard-hitting wrestler and his offense is less contrived than Deans. I still enjoy Ambrose a lot though, I should make that clear. What say you?

That's fine. I think Ambrose will win this. Can people point to some of the best Ambrose matches from this year? I'd like to check them out on the network later. I don't think any will touch Lesnar/Reigns but I'm willing to be surprised.

Ambrose is a great all-around talent with charisma to spare, but in the ring Roman has eclipsed him.
Seth wipes the floor with both of them, of course.

Both are in the same boat, really. Decent talents who sell well and have lame finishers.

I actually think Reigns is better than Ambrose in terms of wrestling, but Ambrose has better psychology apart from selling at times.
But yeah, Rollins is easily the best if included.

Reigns has steadily improved over the years and probably has more potential as a worker, but I think Ambrose is still slightly better right now.

Reigns. Ambrose matches have taken a huge downturn since the Shield dissolved. His horrible Nigel rebound clothesline, his awful punches, his terrible suicide dives. I really like the guy, but almost everything he does looks bad at this point. Meanwhile, Roman is more limited overall, but everything he does at least looks pretty good. Ambrose is a great talker, and was very good with psychology for a while, but right now he's lost virtually all of that imo.

As far as matches this year, Reigns.

...I don't know, honestly.
Really, both guys excel at different things which makes this question difficult. Ambrose clearly has the better psychology and a better grasp of what makes a wrestler...a wrestler. Roman has more physical charisma though and his offense is more explosive which tends to get over more with WWE crowds, it seems. Both of these cats are real good. Not sure if I really think one is above the other but personally speaking, I prefer Ambrose's style.

I feel like I haven't seen Ambrose wrestle in forever, I think Reigns had better matches with Wyatt than Dean had, and he had better matches overall than Dean. Granted it might be unfair because Reigns has been put in better positions to have great matches this year, but still. Reigns/Rollins will be a good test. Ambrose loses points with me because throughout the later stages of his feud with Rollins when they should have been having all out wars they seemed to have pretty standard wrestling matches, I've found myself pretty disappointed with Dean's higher profile matches. He's more comfortable and versatile on the mic than Reigns but Reigns has been more consistent in the ring.

I like them both for different reasons. They both got their strengths and weaknesses. Roman is more explosive with his offense. Dean is more physical with his bumping and selling.

Reigns has improved a lot and has had great matches this year (still think his match vs Lesnar was overrated,) but Ambrose is still the better ring worker. It's clear that Reigns has been booked to have better matches and feuds, but Ambrose is still better.

Reigns has great intensity in his matches which was why the Brock match was so great. Ambrose is good, but his offense is goofy, although we can excuse it since it's a part of his loose nut character

There's not much in it, but I'd still give the nod to Ambrose.
Reigns has been better this year but I'd put that down to being given more opportunities. I'm sure Ambrose would have very good matches with Brock and Bryan too.

They're almost neck and neck, but I'd give the nod to Ambrose. It's obvious that Reigns has been given more chances to have good matches. Also I think people had really low expectations of Reigns at first and are pleasantly surprised that he's not totally awful.

I think right now, it's Roman Reigns. He's found himself in the ring and knows how to get himself across the right way. He sells really well and his offense is on point.
I still get the sense that Dean is searching for his place, in terms as wrestling as a WWE face, and he does too much high-flying stuff imo. Just doesn't seem to be his thing, but he does it because he's a face and it gets pops. I think he'd be more effective as a gritty brawler. And, if he goes heel, I think his work will immediately improve across the board.

I cannot remember last time Ambrose was really given something to work with but think he'd deliver equal to Roman (maybe better) if given the shot. Just until it happen I got to go with the guy given the shot.

Are we talking just in 2015 or as a whole? As a whole, it's Ambrose. He was a better wrestler as a heel when he could use more submissions, psychology and more technical moves compared to his current face self which has resulted to more of the brawler, wacky style. Unlike the other members of the Shield, his arsenal's had the biggest changes. Reigns still wrestles the same style, Rollins cut down his high flying a little bit but Ambrose doesn't wrestle anything like he did as a heel which is where people say he's great in the ring from. Besides that it feels as though he's being limited in a way, not only in the ring but match-wise as well. I specifically remember matches where Ambrose didn't do something he normally does in every single match around that time, when the crowd was chanting for it (breaking a table in a Chicago Street Fight) while Reigns went on to break the table in a Big Show match later that night given it was a Last Man Standing. It feels as though Ambrose is being limited which makes sense given the company but I digress.
So...
Reigns has had better matches this year and has shown more in the ring. Ambrose has been limited but overall in the ring he's the better wrestler. He hasn't been given nearly the amount of shots as Reigns.
