It would not shock me at all if Ziggler got released soon. After the shitty angle with rusev and being beaten down by his clone Breeze I think even the long tights won't save Nick Nemeth's career. Comes across as a little bitter and pissed of when he cuts promos too. Still, a 10 year career and the fact that he survived the wreckage of the 6 feet under burial of the spirit squad and that people in creative (Kevin Dunn and Hayes) don't like him is no mean feat.

In an unexpected twist his return to the gimmick of a caddy ends up finally propelling him to main event status; complete with t-shirt selling catchphrase "This is my clubhouse!"

There is no way to know for certain one way or the other until he actually IS released. All it can take is one great angle and/or some logical character development (I know, it's WWE and all, but still) and it turns around for him... AGAIN.

Nick Nemeth is still locked in a crate in OVW. Dolph Ziggler on the other hand is still the same dudebro he's been for years. The only difference is that people here turned on him instead of accepting his jerk behavior like they used to. I don't see Dolph winning a world title again. The closest he came was he was the replacement Daniel Bryan and that ended when the real one came back. But Ziggler is with WWE as long as he wants to stick around which means another 3 before doing a Jericho schedule.

I don't think he'll ever be a long term main event guy. But they seem to like him enough to keep him around and put him in angles. He might get a brief "gold watch" title run sometime in the future, but that's all I expect.

He's as credible as he's ever been.
Solid midcard guy. Nothing wrong with that.

i'm way over ziggler...their last chance to make him something was survivor series last year where they made him look like a superstar...then they proceeded to do nothing with him

If he's a lost cause, all of wrestling is pretty much.

To tell you the truth, I expect Ziggler to get an up and down push for the next five years. Then he either quits or WWE releases him.

He just needs a huge signature win at one of the big 4 PPVs. Then WWE can pretend it didn't happen...

Why would he want to quit and go somewhere else for less money and less exposure?

Why would he want to quit and go somewhere else for less money and less exposure? Because somehow creative integrity is more important than paying the bills.

He's going to be credible as hell when he's working for Lucha Underground.

To be honest, he's credible enough to wipe out the legend, icon, vigilante Sting from an entire promo package.

Ziggler isn't leaving the company unless another company offers him the chance to be their "The Guy". He has no reason to leave. He's not CJ Parker or Justin Gabriel who saw the writing on the wall and left to work elsewhere where they can actually work. He's a quasi-main eventer who will always have a featured spot.

Ziggler has come a long way from just saying his name and shaking hands. I just think he's unfortunately part of a generation of wrestlers we'll never know how good they could have been because of the way WWE has been operating the past several years. Not everyone needs a title, a meaningful program can be just as effective.

Hopefully he's done and settles nicely into his role as a jobber. He can join the Wheel of Aggression.
